Looked like a kid playing hard who tried to make a good hard hit but definately checked from behind. I think it was one of the rare times in game 1 that the refs made the proper call. I was glad there was no game disqualification.

I would love to see EA expand further into college athletics. Their NCAA football game is outstanding with good game play and the ability to follow athletes through college and into Madden. This year EA branched into NCAA baseball. I am hoping hockey will be next. It seems like the game play would be very similar to the new rules and speed of the NHL game. The game could be released regionally in the midwest, eastcoast, and Colorado. Just a thought since NHL 2007 comes out this week.

I saw on the billboard outside Scheels in Fargo that Zach Parise will be doing a meet and greet on 8/25. Has anyone heard if any other players will be at the REA with the cup? The article in the paper said Commodore and other former players will be there with the cup. Thanks

Perhaps the university will play it safe and use the generic "North Dakota" jerseys of the mid-90's or maybe they will go for the ultimate throwback to the old 70's and 80's blackhawk logo.

Still looking for Sioux football jerseys. Scheels has a pretty weak jersey but it is not even replica quality. Nothing else that I've seen. REA had nice basketball replicas but nothing for football. Anyone else hear of any other sioux football jerseys?

I have seen a lot of information about authentic sioux hockey jerseys and I am wondering if anyone has ever seen authentic sioux football jerseys for sale? All I can find are the generic Colloseum jerseys on E-bay. Thanks

My wife and I went to the games last year. We used priceline to get our hotel room. We paid $65 a night and stayed at the Antlers Hilton. The hotel is a short drive from the arena but puts you close to the downtown which is full of small restraunts and bars. Before the games, it seemed like a lot of fans gathered at an Applebee's near the arena. Personally, I enjoy going to the Denver series as they have a nice arena without any bad seats. I am looking forward to this year's series more than ever now that there is a little added fire from the events of last year. Both CC and Denver arenas have lots of Sioux fans for the games.

For the 86/87 jersey the nameplate on a green jersey should be green and the name should be in white lettering, there is no black outline on the name.

Does anyone know where I could get one of the mid- 90's jerseys that said"North Dakota" across the chest? Personally, it is my least favorite UND jersey but it is what they wore when I attended the university. Also a side note about the retro "blackhawk" jersey, Tom Nicoterra at Koronis has been very helpful and is apparently very familiar with the old sioux jerseys.

I was at both games. I felt that the Saturday game was exceptiaonally one-sided. CC had a couple of good scoring chances and capitalized on one but the rest of the game resembled a power play. We ran into a hot goalie who put his team on his back. That was all in my opinion. It was the weakest performance at home for a #1 team that I can remember.
