  1. I'd guess that Eades was watching Mike Seidel (leading scorer in the USHL) and Michael Forney.

I've only seen Kristo a few times but he's a terrific skater with nice hands. He needs to add some muscle but he'll be very good. Of all the current recruits he's the one that intrigues me the most. Kristo and Danny Mattson could be be a dynamic duo if they stick around long enough.

He may have also been looking at Mike Johnson who leads the USHL in goal (1.69 GAA, .938 SA%)

  2. Please don't make this a Republicans vs. Democrats issue. This is yet another economic topic that can be discussed without partisanship, but until we decide to change the rule barring politics, I'll continue to enforce it.

    Thanks for your help.

The largest economic meltdown in most of our lives, bottom falling out of our 401k accounts, layoff starting in force (including my company) across the nation and when we discuss this topic and its causes we are suppose to leave politics out of it.

    Good luck with that. :glare:

  3. For pointing your dish there is a 24/7 signal.......

    FREQ. 12060

    POL. V

    SR. 26700

It's also mentioned to the right of the video if you click on MORE INFO

I pointed my dish to the new satellite and get a signal at the specs you provided but it only is sound. There is no picture. Should there be a picture and any idea why I would not see it??

    Go Sioux!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  4. Hey everyone I have been offered a job in Cedar Rapids, Iowa and am debating taking this job. I was wondering if there are any Sioux fans out there that either live in cedar Rapids or know if there is a Sioux friendly bar where i could watch my favorite team play.

As always your help is appreciated

I live in CR but have not made it to the sports bars for the Sioux gatherings yet. I have a FTA system and dish network so I can see most of the games on TV. I have meet a few other Sioux fans at the Roughriders (USHL team) games, one that I travel with to the Mankato and Wisconsin games. I also have Sioux season tickets and make the trek up north 2 or 3 times a year. Shouldn't be to difficult for you to keep the Sioux fix satisfied down here. You could probably catch a ride to anything my crew goes to. With $4 gas it is always nice to split expenses an extra way.

  5. If the government ever turned evil and wanted to come after you, a few farmers in a field with assault rifles isn't going to stop them.

Glad they didn't have that attitude back around 1776. :)

  6. Hakstol post-game comments:

PP was as sharp as it's been. Ran though every option we had. Could have had more. Their guy between the pipes did a very good job. That being said, we got enough to win. We got the 4 PP goals.

I think in the first 2 periods alone, Chorney had 8 shots alone. I don't know if they were all on the PP, but it helps.

They were aggressive on the PK, but I think they had to back off a little. You start questioning yourself a little bit when we're scoring on the PP that much.

Things got a little sloppy in the 3rd period. Maybe that's understandable a little bit, with the intensity. The intensity of going after the puck was still there. Have to build off the positives. The PP, the first two periods, and not everything in the third period was bad.

Watkins got all of his shot. He works on it, and he got all of it on his goal.

I'm sure they'll address staying out of the box for tomorrow night. They had their fair share of PP chances. I thought the officiating was real good tonight.

I would think we'll see a little more 5 on 5 tomorrow. It's all about tomorrow afternoon now. What's done is done, and we have to look forward to tomorrow.

Who did Hak say got hurt and didn't play in the 3rd??

  7. I sent Gwoz a polite email earlier today, just asking him for clarificiation about the Testwuide/Gordon fight from last year and the Radke/Vossberg fight from this past weekend.

He sent me a nice email just a bit ago and among other things, mentioned that both Radke and Testwuide were given an additional game DQ today by the WCHA for Sat night's activities.

So Radke will be forced to sit out both BSU games, and both Testwuide and Vossberg from DU will be out for DU on Friday night against UAA.

So basically Gwoz told you the league checked the tape and decided that another WCHA ref blew a call during the game and now he will be without Testwuide in addition to Vossberg. Did he give an indication in his reply as to whether he was happy with his decision to pursue this with the league or in hindsight should he just let it go? I don't see where he gained anything out of this.

  8. I think Gwoz was a little worried for his guy, no more no less. Radke had beaten him and then those last two looked like MMA finishing haymakers. It's a fine line and truthfully I'm shocked no DU player jumped Radke after Vossberg was thrown down.

    So was Gwoz!

  9. Let me say that I know little about these guys, but they are available still (uncommitted) from the USHL:

    Josh Robinson

Kent Patterson (He was drafted by the Avs, but is having a rather poor year having been ousted in favor of UMD recruit Hjelle)

Michael Clemente - His stats aren't impressive. However, he's played the majority of games for NTDP to date.

Alex Evin - overager. Stats are impressive (goalie leader in the BCHL at this point).

Chris Rawlings was once recruited by UND, but he's seemed to have fallen off the mark. His stats aren't that great either.

Don't know much about these guys, but Kent Patterson has NHL interest and Robinson seems to be playing well at this point...just looking at stats only anyways.

Patterson has not played due to an injury. Hjelle stepped up huge in Patterson absence. Duluth is getting a very good goalie.

    Go Sioux!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  10. I'm not sure but I think it should start with everyone taking a look in the mirror and asking themselves how many times a day on average do they post on any given message board and how many days they can go without having to make a post on a message board. That would be the first clue. So even though I'm not sure, I think it can be pretty obvious in some cases (case in point, let's wait to see how long it takes for a response). I'm sorry if I struck a nerve and I'm sure I'll get ripped for my comments but the hardest thing is acceptance.

Now I better stop posting before I get suckered into this category.

Posts per day are part of your profile.

  11. Frank and Doug give the player of the game to the UND sophmores. 8 pts on the night.

I would have given it to the Sioux PK units.

Great win, do it again tomorrow!!!!!!

    Go Sioux!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  12. Is it possible that the NCAA might actually come to UND to accept its "award", and in doing so, see nothing hostile or abusive? Just a thought. Maybe they'll ask to have the award mailed to Indian-apolis, to avoid all the racism in GF.

The only thing hostile and abusive they should see is a large contingent of nickname supporters protesting them outside the award ceremony!!!

    Go Sioux!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  13. Good intense game right now. Gophs 1 pioneers 0

How come every time something like this happen the goofs are involved. :D

    Go Sioux!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
