Yup. I'm also thinking about a mini swimming pool too. Did you know the Push Up thing was invented by a Navy Seal?
What no way!!!
-
Has anyone else been doing alot of push ups tonight?? I just keep getting this strange feeling I should buy something to help me do some more .....

I love Bob Norton he's the most loveable drunk on tv!
Warroad is now on the Iron Range, North Dakota was beaten by Holy Cross.! God I love Tivo!!
-
They serve cupcakes at their games??
-
If it were WCHA teams the call would not be a 5 minute major.
-
Norton is the kiss of death.
He should call his son more often. Cause his son seems to know more about college hockey than he does.
Is Bob Norton like the Doug Woog of the east??

Michigan gets handed a trip to the FF.
So did Minny. Wow!
-
Not that I'm a Mankato fan, but I would rather see them make the tourney than Bucky. After watching MN the last few games I have a lot more respect for how good Mankato is. I think they are better than Bucky.
After the Sioux swept, Kato had a very nice run.
Note to NCAA,Wisc won't make it out of their region no matter how many fans they have in the seats.

you must be looking over the fact that Miami is in there. Denver may beat them, but no cake walk.
I watched them play some pretty ugly hockey against Michigan last night. M-Ohio didn't impress me.
As boring as DU hockey is, they seem to have a system that works night after night.
Should DU and Miami play. Hands down DU wins. JMHO,
-
Put Denver as a lock. What a cake walk.
I agree with you. Hmmm where is the F4 being played at hmmmm.
-
Friends don't let friends drive Fords.
So true!
-
You heard it here first: If it's Minny vs Mankato in the first-round, the Purple Cows will pull off the upset.
Won't happen. The WCHA will have one of the Sheppard boys ref the game.

IMHO,
Sat. UMD 3 UND 2
Sunday UND 4 UMD 1
I also say Sneakers Bar will be full of Sioux fans this weekend!
-
I think the big theme of the second half is that we're playing at outstanding tempo, especially neutral zone and on transition. That cuts both ways - fewer taken and more drawn.
1) The Sioux are drawing lots of penalties by sheer hustle, speed, tenacity. Of the 42 PP opps, Oshie alone has probably drawn 15. Guys like Trupp, Watkins, VV, similarly.
2) The Sioux aren't taking a lot of penalties, because of tempo above AND because the puck isn't in our defensive zone much.
3) This constant full-speed assault is creating lots of hits, and pi$$ing off the opposition.
The only team I've seen that can flat out skate with the Sioux at full tempo is CC. I'd love to see a Final Five Title game of UND-CC.
DU had no time to trap at all that weekend. I agree with #3 the most. Teams that can't keep up the tempo are easy targets for a speedy team.
From my section in 106 I seen the Sioux team standing watching every play even when they were behind on Friday. DU warming the pine even when they had a lead. I think this Sioux team is hungry and I too would love to see a CC & Sioux match up!
-
I couldn't agree more. Excellent post.
I would much rather have teams like the U of M when Eric Westrum was there. Little rabbit punch here checking from behind there. That's what hockey is all about.
Is it me or have other teams stopped running Phil after a few so called "fights" happened. Don't believe me run the tapes/tivo of a few games from the past and now the present.

I sent Gwoz a polite email earlier today,
You are way to kind.
Was this before you read the article in the Denver Post or after?
-
And the CHA isn't a good fit because??
-
Two games for Radke?
-
UNH,Maine and DU IMHO, are using their D1 status to capture some of the monies that the NCAA shells out during the Frozen Four.
There was an article about two years ago that stated that a team playing must have all sports D1 to gain any money for making it to the Frozen Four.
This isn't the main reason IMHO,but it seems like a pretty good one.
So why would DU want to drop any sport down a level?
-
From where I was and you can see some of it on the tape as well. Gwoz comes running over to where his guy is getting pummeled and pushes Brookwell from behind towards the fight and was pretty demonstrative at another DU player as well, as they were both just standing there watching their teammate getting hit with so many rights he was begging for a left. He was pi$$ed at his "team" for not backing up a teammate.
Seen the same view from my seat in Sec 106.
Wonder what the league will say to Gwoz on that?
-
Only morons disrespect programs like these. I have, however ran into many an idiot. Especially at the Final 5. I think that tourney brings out the Gopher fan who isn't a hockey fan.
That's why me and mrs. stopped going.
We really enjoyed the F5 but now we are more the F4type fans.
Where the true college hockey faithful enjoy watching a game.

I like the comment that one of those jokers said on FSN.
"And the Sioux haven't played anyone."
Guess they still haven't.
-
Just a little Wooger-ism I picked up watching the 2nd Gopher -Wisc game.
After Wisc scored their first goal.
Wooger,
"It's a tough job to referee, but I tell you, you gotta give the visiting team, if there's an edge, you gotta give them the little bit that you can because they got alot of things to fight through. So if you're going to move the peg just a little bit, move it in favor of the visiting team. That's why coaches lose hair and that's why coaches go in booths."
I love Tivo!
I hope he remembers this next weekend!!!

D. Sheppard has dibs on that one.
Isn't sad when we know the officials by first and last names?

I thought Melrose was a little high school girlish when it came to Gerbe.
The kids good but he's no Doug Flutie...
