    Me too...it's the crap that the Gopher teams have been notorious for over the years like the after the whistle crosscheck, slash, facewash, etc. cuz I know the play is dead and the linesmen will be here in a second to protect me while I talk smack over his shoulder that Sioux fans don't care for...especially when it's not backed up.

    I was thinking the same thing.

    I predict insert (Sioux player) will be standing around the Gopher net and every Gopher player on the ice will

    try to face wash said (Sioux Player). I hope it's Hextal myself! :D

    Is it me or does it seem just about everyone in retail is selling something with the Sioux logo on it.

    What does it all mean?

    A. UND is flooding the market with Sioux items because the logo is going away.

    B. To show what logo and merchandise money means to UND and parties of interest and

    what it could mean to future programs UND might not be able to afford if the logo is to be replaced.

    It just seems strange that when I go to Walmart in Grand Forks that there is almost as many items there

    as the Sioux Shop at the REA.

    It's difficult to imagine how Douple didn't realize that this is now a non-issue. Heck, since NDSU is governed by the exact same Board of Higher Ed. as we are, in the incredibly unlikely event that the Board decides that UND isn't going to drop the name, doesn't that mean NDSU should be guilty by association and booted from the league? :D

    Nope, it doesn't say anything about the PP slowing down. It speaks to having 3 first line PP guys gone.

    How about the other line UM fans and our good friends at Fox North use around this time of year. "We are a young team" :D

    I predict Hakstol tries to let the ref know that he is number 1, and than gets tossed and suspended for saturday. Just to make the coaching situation even.

    I also predict that we get either campion or baby shepherd, cuz you know they have to send the "top" WCHA officials for this game.

    I was thinking Don Adam but that's just my .02 :D

    Interesting.

    I'm more concerned about the fact that our offense is darn near non-existance.

    Remember, the most likely scenario for both games has the Gophers scoring AT LEAST 2 goals per game. We seem to fight to score more than 2 at any given time.

    I don't know what is going to happen. It all depends upon whether or not we show up offensively.

    OH, and a relevant game note: At one point in the 2nd period (IIRC) there was a 3 on 1 for the Sioux. We passed the puck so many times it allowed the d to get back and NO SHOT was ever attempted. TH said "one too many passes."

    Well, if we try to get cute like that, we WILL lose.

    We need to get ugly, quite frankly. Get goals every which way we can legally. Throw the puck at the net and crash the net.

    We all know well that the Gophers do and will send players at the net. We need to do that too.

    Friday when I was in Bemidji I watched to many break aways. Sorry the D does not give me a good feeling.

    I do see improvement in moving the puck up ice and not having to go behind the net every time to set up a play.

    So there is improvement. Just thought we would be more seasoned since it is Jan.

    Isn't the big sky still looking at UND? Also, Wisconsin proved that their logo/mascott rule was a farce as they could have declined to play FSU in their Bowl game if they were so opposed to FSU's logo. Of course they didn't. The all mighty dollars speaks.

    Not to mention a basketball game in which Wisconsin played FSU.

    Last time I checked FSU was not in the Big10.

    It seemed that SCSU couldn't skate with UND. Anyone else notice the Huskies were falling into the Sioux players. :silly:

    It almost seemed like it was coached. :0

    Any ways two good wins on the weekend. I look forward to watching them next Friday!! :glare:
