You can read about the selection process here:
Hobey Baker Memorial Award Criteria
Basically, all Division I NCAA coaches vote, and then a Selection Committee decides the eventual winner from the top ten. This committee is composed of print media, electronic media, NHL scouts, and the American Hockey Coaches Association (college hockey coaches).

Just wondering if all the satellite viewers this year are experiencing the following issues with the quality of the broadcast (compared to other channels):
-The volume is very low.
-The audio pops and clicks at times.
-The picture is too bright causing lots of light glare.
I watch all the games at Sensers, so I am just wondering if this is a Sensers issue or a FSSN issue.
-
Just started listening. Anyone know how the Mn-CC or Wisc-DU games are going?
-
Count me in. It would be fun to go out for lunch/beer after the game.
-
BigChief/01 Grad, are you guys going to Bloomington?
Yes. The bloomington location is the best for Sioux fans.
-
Besides the game sucking, How was Sensers last night?
Was there a good turn out of Sioux fans? I am heading there tonight to watch the game.
-
So - is anyone going to a local tavern before going to tonight's game. I think I'll be a Stub and Herbs around 5:30.
I was going to try Big10 before the game, because of their awesome wings, and a bartender I like to be verbally hostile and abusive with. I will try Stub & Herbs after the game.

Who is bringing the dead gophers to toss? I'm fresh out. That's one of the best rituals of Sioux hockey.
-
Please let me know if anyone is selling tickets for the Saturday night game.
-
Do you guys hear anything on the Sioux audio feed? I dont hear anything, but get the AA feed fine.
-
After last years mediocre regular season play I was inspired by Parise's comments below about the team buying into Hakstol's system. Now we are right back where we were last year, waiting for the first weekend in March for the team to start playing. We also lost twice to AA last year.
[quote name=PCM' date='Apr 13 2005, 07:30 PM' post='102963]JP: When we were in our slump, Dave switched the system and nobody wanted to buy into it. Nobody thought what he was saying would work. After we got swept by Denver and split with Alaska, everyone knew something had to change. We played a more defensive style, but somehow it result in getting more scoring opportunities.
SS: So part of it was that the players and coaches weren

I'll buy your tickets from you. PM me if you are serious.
Hey runnin, how was that alumni party, did you go?
The alumni party was so-so. There were more Sioux fans at the bloomington location for the season opener than there was tonight at the Roseville location. And to make it worse we had to listen to the Fox feed and the bartenders were blowing air horns when the gophers scored. Sensers is out of their freakin mind to sign up a UND alumni party, and then NOT cater to them. Let's please give our business to someone who wants it in the future. Sensers is f---ing up.
-
Are you kidding? Back from the ledge, man. I've got tickets that night and you can bet I'll be there.
I only have tickets for Saturday night. So let me know if I can have your Fri night!

Bed time, schmed time!
I can run that line past my wife, but I think I know the response.
-
His bed time is at 8, so I thought it would look bad to have my 11 month old son sleeping on the floor of the bar, while his Sioux fanatic dad gets drunk.

Bloomington location works for me.
Now we need CheeseMover to pull some rank at the Bloomington location and get the music turned off and the game audio on the speakers instead of those dumb squak boxes they hand out.
See you guys there.

All I get on the MTU website is:
"Server has reached its capacity and can serve no more streams. Please try again later."
Early bird gets the worm.

MafiaMan-
I am threatening to bring your green jerseys from the sioux/gopher fan game last march to Sensers tonight. They are still sitting in my basement.
-
is there any bars in the elk river area that are going to be carrying the game. I'm being forced into coming down there from GF and giving up my seats to both games. Any help would be great
Sensers in Roseville, Bloomington, and Eagan are your only choices unless someone with a FSSN satelite in Elk River invites you over.

If we don't win the legal battle by playoff time I think we should go with:
"Fighting Soo" (as in Soo Line railroad)
Then we could keep the all important "lets go soo".

Great season guys!

Vaht! No trash talk? Cmon HockeyMom let's hear it.

ESPN 2 is not available in HD yet from Time Warner & thats where I get ESPN HD and the local channels. I hope it will come online soon. But All sioux fans are welcome at all three lJoe Sensers ocations for the semi's & National Championship.
Go Sioux

Since Sensers has ESPN HD, how many HD TV's do they have? It would be an expensive upgrade to have many of them, especially considering there are only a handful of events broadcast in HD and worth watching.

Potulny and Irmen were just not effective the last 20 games. They looked leg-weary ... whether from conditioning or being overplayed the first 20 games, i can't say. I was worried the 11 day layoff would give them the rest needed to get their legs back, but it sure didn't happen.
Irmen's "revenge charge" against Greene was plain funny.

Ahhh...the only thing better than beating the gophers is when their fans turn on them. At Sensors last night the gopher fans were just pissed and ripping on the gopher players for weak plays. Awesome.

I am just glad to still be watching Sioux hockey at this time of the year. It's all bonus hockey at this time. There is nothing better than watching Sioux hockey, no matter what game it is.
After this weekend's high it will be really tough to go cold turkey without any NHL hockey to tide me over.
Which Hockey jersey to buy?

The $59 Nike replicas I have seen have the weird lime green coloring. The price is good, but...
