2026-27 University of North Dakota Hockey Season

I would be suprised if Magnussen would come here without basically being guaranteed top 6 time given he was first line, point per game at Bemidji. If you’re right though, that’s great as it would probably mean some big CHLers are coming -

Scoring mainly, but I do have concerns. He only had 4 goals at 5 on 5 last year. Hoping Bryn has a CHLer with some finishing touch up his sleeve -
Yep. Lindberg and Magnussen are good pieces, but we will need a little more high-end scoring punch from our CHL adds
-
I don't know what you technically can and cannot do in terms of contacting the players themselves, but coaches are in regular contact with players' agents about moves like this.
-
I wonder if we called Lindberg after it became clear we weren't getting Wiebusch

I've never seen a 5v3 that was focused solely on one timers. There was no attempt to set anything up except for one time blasts from way out. Didn't get that at all -
Very sad to see him go. I really liked his game a lot and I thought he could’ve been a great 4 year guy for us. I could’ve seen him wearing the “C” one day, just like he did in Muskegon

Talk about great publicity. Awesome article -
I don't think he's a depth piece. He was ASU's TOI leader, so I doubt he would transfer to a program that planned to use him as a 6th or 7th guy
-
Yep, which is why I'd be mildly concerned if we're seriously recruiting him. Not saying we should be sounding any alarms, just think it's something to watch
-
Not sure Harper moves the needle a ton for me if the plan is to bring him in this year. I don't see the need for small, young, offensive defenseman on this roster
-
Now this is the type of speculation I can get behind. Let’s speak it into reality
-
The Clark and Hall rumors came from a parody account, so disregard those unless another source has put them out there. Magnussen and Boser are the only legit rumors I’ve seen. Not sure who the third would be
-
I think he’ll be a good player for them. I always liked his game

Brasen Boser in the portal. North Dakota native who led ASU in TOI. Wonder if we give him a look. Left handed defenseman, so not necessarily a huge position of need

Klee is a head scratcher to me. He played quite a bit as a freshman, including over older players in the FF. He wasn’t an elite offensive player in Junior either, so I’d be surprised if he expected to be a top six guy in his first few years no matter where he went -
He’s probably not going anywhere where he isn’t guaranteed decent minutes, and I don’t think we offer that
-
Never mind, Murr to Minnesota. That's tough. They will be stacked next year
-
I hope we are targeting Evan Murr hard. There will be talent on the backend next year for sure, but too much youth
-
I'm not worried. If Jax continues to post good results I'm sure the school will give him an extension that pays accordingly
-
The Ruck twins and Tanner Klimpke, or another older forward, would be a great hall. Not even sure we have that much room up front, but if we could make it work that would be perfect.
-
Wheeler and McMahon both saying Potter is likely headed to Michigan State. I think we can probably cross him off the list
-
Hopefully flames management wants the same!

Ludtke is an interesting one to me. He looked like a stud at Omaha, but his production really fell off at Minnesota. If he leaves, he’d be a very good buy-low option for a lot of teams
