  1. It's USports, and they had to fill a roster after most of their team from last year left via graduation/portal, so that was the strategy they went with. The regular NCAA portal was pretty weak for them to be able to get guys to fill voids. I don't think they were going to be a top team in conference regardless.
  2. UNO isn't all USports guys, many are directly out of the CHL like Luke Woodworth, Marcus Nguyen, Spencer Sova, Dawson Cowan
  3. Not that surprised, Minnesota Duluth's forward group is below average outside of their 1st line
  4. Good win for the RedHawks
  5. Assuming relatively low overall impact for a small sample in conference, but you could be right
  6. Wisconsin dropping further into bubble territory in the NPI with tonight's disastrous loss at Minnesota
  7. Pathetic effort from Wisconsin so far, 3-1 Minnesota right now in the 3rd. Fraudulent Badgers team, have some shame Hastings
  8. Minnesota ties it, 1-1
  9. Wisconsin 1 Minnesota 0 in the 1st
  10. 3-0 Boston College
  11. Boston College up 2-0 on Boston University. Eagles look way better than they did a few months ago
  12. The best route for most players in my opinion is to go from the CHL to the NCAA before turning pro. Only a handful can make the jump straight from junior to pro, it's a massive jump to play in the A at 19 or 20 years old coming out of junior. The NCAA is the perfect middle ground to play against older players, but not 30 year olds
  13. Would be very surprised if DuPont is at North Dakota next year tbh
  14. I think the problem for Boston University is that their roster has one A+ elite talent (Hutson), while the A level talents (Boisvert & Eiserman) as well as the A-/B+ talents have been underwhelming. If you're young AND not dominant, plus shakier goaltending from Yegorov this season, you're going to struggle, which they have. I overrated them, thought their talent would click a lot faster
  15. When I say "light it up', I generally mean over point per game type of production, especially as a younger aged player. Pilgrim can certainly be a solid contributor (as Josephson is right now), but his junior production as an 18 & 19 year old doesn't suggest that he'll be a dominant, light it up, NCAA producer. That is more of my point.
  16. I'm doing my own personal statistical projection with the stats I have. I don't think that's offensive
  17. Is he willing to play another year of junior next year? He might have to
  18. Time goes on and it just seems like Tennessee State won't happen for next year (or awhile, if ever) unless they get significant donations. Budget shortfall killing TSU right now
  19. Nick Angell basically insinuated on that podcast that Minnesota's hockey NIL collective just wants to follow all of the rules and not do whatever it takes to pay guys. That's going to hurt their ability to pay higher profile recruits even a moderate amount, especially Canadians. So the Gophers haven't been creative with either their recruiting or their NIL. No surprise they're 41st in the NPI
  20. Correct, Terry Pegula is a Northeastern Pennsylvania native who went to Penn State, made a ton of money in oil/natural gas, bought the nearby Sabres & Bills, and then funded the move to D1 for Penn State Hockey with the new arena. Basically, most schools need a big donor to make the move to D1
