  1. Does anyone know the plans of Tom or Paul Campbell next year? X2theZ, I know you have ties with Grafton. Any word on what they are going to do next year?
  2. That game was a lot of fun to watch. The girls just have great work ethics and that will get them to the next level.
  3. Bergen from Valley City has committed to come to UND. She is undersized but plays with a great amount of passion.
  4. Where do you think he will end up in this years draft?
  5. Once again TJ Oshie showed us that he is a warrior. This kids work ethic was second to none once again this weekend. Plus he showed us some of those soft hands we saw last year with Warroad.
  6. The RR/South game IMO had great refs. Only two questionable calls I saw. 1) A high sticking on South early in the second. 2) That penalty on the RR player after the whistle when the South player took a dive. Also remember early in the year, every year, the refs love calling it tight setting a precedent, but they always seem to ease things back as the season goes along.
  7. With you saying it is early naming Galt Mr. Hockey, IMO I think it is early saying four of RR players could leave to juniors. The only one that has a shot IMO (as of right now, I know things change) is Galbreath. The only thing holding him back is strength (which I see no problem improving). I think the biggest difference in the South/RR game was the second lines of both teams. Adam Campbell, being a second line center for South, will make it tough for any team (other than probably Grafton) to match a second line player with a forward with his skill and especially his strength.
  8. Jloos, how's your cousin doing. I heard his wrist is really bothering him. Hopefully he can go back and get some college looks.
  9. Great kid and great player. I know his parents and they are just a great family. This kid can catch the ball too. Speed and strenght are his question marks but they can always be improved. Also, he's an amazing baseball player and has talk to the Gophers about playing baseball there.
  10. A couple of big games in the east tomorrow. Grafton at North and South at RR.
  11. Rule 91. b states: When a player, in control of the puck (or who could have obtained possession and control of the puck) on the opponent's side of the center red line and having no other opponent to pass than the goalkeeper, is tripped or otherwise fouled from behind, thus preventing a reasonable scoring opportunity, a penalty shot shall be awarded to the non-offending side. Nevertheless, the Referee shall not stop play until the attacking side has lost possession of the puck to the defending side. (NOTE) The intention of this Rule is to restore a reasonable scoring opportunity which has been lost by reason of a foul from behind when the foul is committed on the opponent's side of the red line. The point of this rule that should be made clear is 'preventing a reasonable scoring opportunity.' You said 'a Red River defender took him down while skating a step behind him and the defender was beat by the speed of Harrie.' Now, just from that context I would say it was the right call.
  12. Dickinson beats Century 9-3. Landon Leiss with six points and it looks like he had to sit out for a checking from behind. Wilbur, I know you have ties with the west, have you seen this kid or was it just a fluke?
  13. Does this performance solidify him as the number one man?
  14. This is the most preposterous comment that I
  15. I agree that this kid could be one of those players that could change a game, however with North's defense he will be looking at 40-50 shots a game against the top teams in the East. Letting in less than three goals during those games would be a great feat.
  16. Minnesota has been talking to both of them. Solumn was actually invited to the Gopher game this past weekend and got treated pretty nice from what I hear (somehow that doesn't break any NCAA rules?). Richard is a very nice prospect. He's big, stong, and pretty agile too. From my understanding he's been talking to the Gophs, Wisconsin and a few other big time teams.
  17. I agree but speed isn't everything. This kid sees things before they happen. Chappell didn't.
  18. I read today in the Forum something about a Radio Talk show that would discuss the Fargo-Moorhead high school teams this year. Does anybody know more about this?
  19. There will be some fireworks against Denver, that's for sure. UND has always had the NHL type attitude in this situation. They will get him back, whether it be a clean hit or someone dropping them with him.
