I could see how he could be happy with that role. Go to a team that has won the national championship and been a #1 seed multiple times in the last 5ish years (although the 1 seed didnt work out against UMBC lol). Everyone needs to have a role on a winning team and can’t average 10+ points. If he is happy with a lesser role in order to try and win I can respect that.

Seems like you’re just in your feelings about him leaving. He was only brought up when talking about guys leaving and if they had success.
-
DAE is whatever, he had a successful season but has the off the court problems. Moody I dont understand what all the hate is about. Took him time to figure it out but everyone at Montana loves him. Became a 1st team all conference guy.

Filip only played 3 years at UND right? Not that it changes what you’re saying. And for Rhode I don’t think we can judge it off of 1 year. They weren’t as successful as people thought but if the team has success the next 2 years it is worth the trade off.

Same with Geno, he was probably happy with his decision. It may work out it may not. I’m just not going to tell him what he should or shouldn’t do and act like I know best based on my opinion on the changing landscape of college athletics. Obviously I wish he would stay but not going to fault a kid for leaving to get paid and pursue a different opportunity elsewhere especially when there have been several UND athletes who have done the same thing and had success.

What do you think Filip Rebraca has to say about transferring out? Took a lesser role his first year, stats all went down, but then got a bigger role his senior year. Played in march madness both years, won the big 10 one year. Got to experience playing against many different NBA players and in top college facilities across the country

Should have said the part about UND not having the budget, I’m sure you can understand the confusion based on the rest of your post thinking you know what the correct decision is. I think everyone is making a lot of assumptions about his playing time next year when we dont even know what schools he is looking at, let alone what role will be asked of him. Maybe he takes less minutes next season but has an higher impact his senior season. Who knows. Maybe he goes to a team has less of an impact and less minutes but wins a conference championship or plays in March Madness doubt he will look back and say hmm maybe I should’ve stayed.

That could definitely be a good option, he can sure score the ball, doesn’t shot it well though. I know UND has reach out to him
-
I guess I’m just confused by this statement here, it’s unfortunate that he is going to go get paid and make more money playing basketball than most people in this forum make in 2 years? To say he will be less happy in the long run is whatever thats your opinion and maybe it is right, but just dont see how it is unfortunate. I thought BJ had a great 2 years with the program and represented UND very well. Wish nothing but the best for him and hopefully he can be much happier in the long run.

Sad day even though we knew it was coming

I’ll be honest I completely forgot about Lieutenant Deng

Are these just predictions or are you hearing some insider info? Treyson leaving would really surprise me

I think the key thing to remember is Kraft has 4 years left. Seems like he put on a little size this season so hopefully can keep getting stronger. I agree with GoodGood and Sioux 24/7 though, to have expectations for him for next year might be too much to ask but if later in his career he can give us minutes that will be great, but to be banking on a RS freshman PWO to be giving rotational minutes is a little much to ask for. hopefully next fall he proves me wrong though
-
I hope I’m wrong, but I dont see Kraft as a contributor for this team next year. Now depending on what happens with the portal we could see some guard minutes open up and definitely need the shooting help, but im just worried defensively. He still has all summer to get better and stronger to handle the physicality of the D1 level so hopefully he can do that.

Tommy Ahneman was a problem tonight in the state semifinals! The thing that really impressed was his motor and the effort he played with. Definitely am a fan of his 28 points 17 rebounds 11 of those were O boards
-
Definitely happy to have him back at UND! Cool to see the success he is having with also being a father now
-
We want Hong chants are starting to break out
-
Nice to see everyone picking it offensively when BJ isn’t having a great game! Lets finish out the last 8 minutes strong
-
Love the tempo we’re playing at!
-
Not as good as I would have guessed/hoped. Would think a pretty packed house for the arguably the most important game in D1 history
-
I agree need to contain William!
-
Not where I thought we would be heading into the last week of the season but hopefully we can finish with that top 2 seed!
