  1. ok givem back nine NC's for Michigan but last time I checked, the Lousiana Purchase included everything West of the Mississippi. Melrose thinks D1 uses the blue puck. I don't fault him, cuz on nhl he and pang are great. But like the sleeper commentators of all of the FF games, ESPN doesn't have a clue when it comes to D1. That's why there's no coverage, plus no money in it. What is really sad is that the NHL is looking for more fans all of the time and they have shown reverse marketing when it comes to this. The fans of the pumpkin beaters of the NBA start by following college then graduate. Probably like you I just have a problem when the sport and the level I love aren't cherished by the masses. Relish what we have. D1 men's hockey isn't having a lockout so for sure only 170 more days until we start seeing games again. OH, by the way since when are college hockey fans average, ha. Good job Denver, for sure good job to Adam B. The best part of the game was that those two late penalties wiped the stupid smirk off of GWOZ's face (like the one he had on after their late goal against us, classy)

    Drew Stafford

read this, Drew's still probably not going anywhere. http://www.insidecollegehockey.com/7Archiv.../optin_0232.htm
  3. dishman this thing is over, I've been saying all day that Junior deserved the award so no sour grapes. go dogs, go sandy, go davidson, go wcha BERT, go read the posts, then the stats. historically the HB winner has not had that productive of a NHL career. Some exceptions. Now the HB has only been around since 81 and three-quarters of that time D1 hockey wasn't really seen as a pipeline to the NHL. (That kind of contradicts my statement but, DI is now beginning to be a bit more of an NHL pipeline so maybe things will change.) The best hockey players in D1 are now (last ten years) leaving earlier and coaches are seeking the talent out within a different paradigm than before. Irregardless, my point was that ZP can live without the award. Some cannot live with it.
  4. Throw out Broten cuz he started the thing, Kariya cuz he's probably one of the best players to come out of D1, and Drury and that's what I meant, your really not left with an award winning team even with leetch and morrison and I'd check the sense you're trying to make with the bearing on the NHL career statement, if we don't send our best to heck with the degree or tuition, go play in the ushl or canada, more games & exposure
  5. they've done that. just not now, 'sophomore' Hrkac
  6. Lessard is good, he's a senior, he's deserving, he played more games than JP, he nearly drowned this summer, his team went farther than JP's but got beat by an underdog, ... THROWING THE DOG A BONE the hobey baker award is an NHL career kiss of death, don't worry about it, this was a foregone conclusion, I'm sure that the voting parties took into account that ZP made more money in one day last week than they all do put together I will say this, Junior is very deserving, he's a great one-way player and great team leader. Kudos to him, the dogs, Sandy, and don't forget the Assistant Mr. Davidson. GO WCHA!!! Do you think that 6 degrees theory could be applied to all college hockey teams originating from the SIOUX?

    Drew Stafford

With all of the POTY and FOY talk all worried about who's leaving, who's staying, blah, blah, blah, REMEMBER; We are talking about the FIGHTING SIOUX here, I full-heartedly agree with DB (although this is only the spirit of a quote) that if you love something let it free. I will miss Stafford and the others if they should also decide to leave. That won't dissolve my belief that we ALWAYS have a chance for #8. Thank you 'talent' for your time because we appreciate it, our 'team' will miss you. You may be on to something but I doubt it.
