I've talked to a few players who will be entering the portal after the season. Both of them are skilled players who have played a meaningful number of snaps in games. Bubba isn't taken seriously and hasn't for a few years. Both of them said they looked to Danny as the head coach last year. Sad the way things played out with him because I don't think Danny is ever coming back, which I think it's in his best interest not to if he wants to climb the coaching ladder. I was looking forward to both the SD games, but I will not be attending. Something needs to change.

And what did they do? Gwoz wanted an extension but they instead fired him and hired Monty, who at the time was 43...can't keep relying on tradition to win recruiting battles. You're comparing basketball to hockey.... The NCAA Hockey Tournament is the biggest crap shoot out of the 4 major sports. The 2019 championship Duluth won, they got a goal late to tie Bowling Green and beat them in OT in the first round. In 2018 they needed help to sneak in the tournament and then bounced Mankato in OT in the first round and then went on for 3 consecutive 2-1 wins. One bad bounce in each of those years and we aren't having this discussion that Sandelin is the savior. My point is not always the best or most talented team wins in the college hockey playoff format. Look at UND 2010-2011 team had 32 wins, third most at the time in program history, outshot Michigan 2 to 1 in the frozen four and ran into a hot goalie. UMD is dumpster fire with other issues off the ice. I would much rather be a Sioux fan...

You have to remember there was a lot of teams that contacted him when he hit the portal. We have the best facilities in the world, but we are competing against B1G $$$ and Hastings who has made it clear those are the type of guys he wants on his roster.

Blake is signing with Carolina. Berg is staying for another year. Wilkie visit seemed to go okay, I'm guessing he will be making a decision today sometime.
