I am going down tomorrow morning from the Forks to help a friend in N. Fargo. Now I see they are closing major roads in Fargo. Does anyone know if I will be able to get there with these new closures announced tonight?

Slew foot...no! Bruess was stopping and his skate did hit LaPoint's right skate to throw him off balance. CFB, major....no! He did get him in the numbers but it was not a malicious checking from behind penalty. That being said, I do definately think it was a penalty and a boarding call would have been appropriate. Lapoint was about 4 feet from the boards and Bruess did play the body. As someone said before, there was a delayed penalty on the call and the refs were blowing the whistle on the play which is what pisses me off about the whole situation....very Bina like in that case. But, Lapoint never did gain position of the puck on the play do to the hit by Bruess. This is not pointed at any one person, for obvious reasons: Why does every thread always turn into a "Gopher" thread? Is there a secret infatuation with them? I know I don't participate in much discussion on these boards but I generally enjoy reading them, but I always end up throwing-up in my own mouth everytime I have to read about the rodents!

Canada deserved to win, TONIGHT! They wont be so lucky the next round!

Canada was very cheap (the 1st period), and I'm not to surprised. They got the US off their game and had them looking over their shoulders the rest of the game. The US played very timid after the 10 minute mark in the game and it cost them. The US started taking some stupid penalties and that cost them more. Taveras wasn't a showboat! Granted, he taunted somewhat after his goals, but he's the real deal!

I would of head-hunted Taveras as soon as Della Rovere cheap shotted Van Reimsdyke. US needs to play with a chip on their shoulder (and learn how to clear the zone when killing penalties).

It's about time someone on this team gets pissed!!!

Game #81 is BC vs. UND The Over/Under is 5.5 for total goals scored. Usually the line on this is -110 which means if you put $110 down and you said the total score will be over 5.5 goals scored and the final is 4-2 (6 goals) you will win $100 plus get back your original $110. If the final score is 3-2 (5 goals) you lose your original $110. BC + 155 means if you bet $100 for BC to win and BC wins, you will win $155 plus your original bet. If BC loses, you lose your $100. UND -175 means if you bet $175 for UND to win and they do, you will win $100 plus your original bet. If UND loses, you lose your $175.

Not the same guy he was going at it with origionally. Vossberg (sp?) was the guy Radke pummeled at the end of the 2nd, Testweed was the guy he dropped the gloves with earlier before the linesmen prematurely jumped in.

OldSchool- You are the one who needs to grow up!!! The coach made a mistake and apologized for it....what more do you want? He cant take back what he did but he can be responsible in his actions and what he does after the fact. In terms of a team playing with little discipline....get a clue! The Fighting Sioux style is rough and tumble, this is the reason they are continually playing into April. They take penalties and gain momentum by playing this way. They intimidate their opponents and create hesitentsy in their opponents. You must be a gopher fan who likes to see the jersey pumping, talk the talk but not walk the walk style of play. If other teams layed themselves out there the way the Sioux players do, I'm sure they would be as consistent and perform to a high level of play "game after game" and "year after year". For me, I love the amount of emotion the team plays with and wouldn't have it any other way.

I think you will see the Mavs running the Sioux top players tonight. I'm willing to bet they will be after Oshie, Duncan, & company tonight more than usual.....and I'm not expecting it to be clean.

Darn, I was really hoping I could watch people trying to build another giant Subway sandwich between periods next year. I will really miss that promotion
