  1. Tyler Palmiscino is tied for the lead in scoring in the league that he is playing in over in Europe. Great job Tyler. He is playing for the Heereneveen Flyers in Italy. Here is some interesting reading.....good luck!
  2. Ditto this!!! This was awesome and should definatelty be implemented once again. Maybe this, if nothing else, will get some people off of their ars and make some noise. But, I still loved it when the student section started the Gophers Suck chant about 15 minutes before the players came onto the ice and wouldn't quit until they announced the lineups.
  3. It appears that the bars will once again be open to the general public. According to the letter I recieved, the REA has had enough complaints to open the doors once again.
  4. Then you should be happy as opposed to being pissed since the bars are much more crowded than the concourses.
  5. My biggest problem with this whole situation is what it may do to the atmosphere/noise level in the building. When the place does get rocking, is it going to be lacking 1500 rowdy people because they are drinking beer in a totally seperate location (The Penalty Box). I could care less about the bar situation because I enjoy sitting in my seat to drink my beer. Maybe it's the difference that I go to a hockey game to watch hockey and not go to a hockey game to sit in a bar.

    REA Clubs

Don't misunderstand me. I'm not sure what happens with the FSC members....they may, or may not have certain priveledges. All I know is that what I wrote before was my understanding of the bar situation for people who have club seats within the bar. It didn't say (or I don't remember seeing) anything about FSC members. I would have to assume that people who are going to be spending that kind of money will be given their own "passes" to get into the bars

The clubs will be closed to the general public. Each club seat season ticket holder will receive two passes that they can pass out to whomever they chose so they will be able to have "guests" in the bars. These same seat holders will also have the option of purchasing two standing room only seats that they can do whatever they please with. At least I think this is how I read the contract. They are going to be losing a lot of $$$ doing it this way.
  8. I have not seen his report card, but Bo being academically inelligable is what I am being told. If it turns out to be true, it would explain everything. Sucks for Bo, sucks for Sioux hockey, sucks for Sioux hockey fans.
  9. This is what I was told, that being said, even if he doesn't sign we won't be seeing him in a Sioux uniform next year.
  10. Jason Blake scored two goals in his return to the Islanders in a 3-0 playoff win over Tampa Bay.
  11. Congrats to Grant Potulny for reportedly signing with the Senator's. I read that it was a one year contract and he will spend the remainder of the year playing for their minor team. Good Luck!!! Here is the article from WCCO.com Senators sign Gopher forward Potulny Tuesday April 06, 2004 MINNEAPOLIS (AP) Minnesota forward Grant Potulny, a three-year captain who just completed his final season with the Gophers, signed a one-year contract with the Ottawa Senators on Tuesday. Financial terms of the deal were not disclosed. Potulny will spend the remainder of the 2003-04 season with Binghamton of the AHL on an amateur tryout. Potulny finished his collegiate career with 68 goals and 48 assists in 148 games. He ranks 24th in career goals and 55th in career points with 116. The Grand Forks, N.D., native was a part of two national championship teams with Minnesota. He scored the game and title-winning goal for the Gophers in the 2002 NCCA championship game over Maine. Potulny was named the 2002 NCAA Frozen Four Most Outstanding Player, the 2003 WCHA Final Five Most Valuable Player and the 2003 NCAA West Regional Most Valuable Player. Potulny, who was drafted in the fifth round by Ottawa in 2000, has attended the Senators' summer development camp for each of the past three years.
  12. Don't know if this has been posted yet or not, Parise will not play tonight. Here is what Lamoriello had to say: Center Zach Parise, who the Devils traded up to select 17th overall in the 2003 draft, decided to forego his final two seasons at the University of North Dakota to sign a three-year entry-level contract with the reigning Stanley Cup champions on Monday. Parise, the 19-year-old son of former Islander J.P. Parise, will report to New Jersey for a physical, but Lamoriello said he will not play in tonight's game against the Rangers. He is eligible to play for the Devils in the playoffs. "He feels he's ready to come out of school and so do we," Lamoriello said. "That being said, no decision has been made yet as to whether he's going to Albany or coming here."
  13. The one place I feel Blais needs to improve upon is his powerplay effeciency. There is no reason, with the talent year-in and year-out that this team shouldn't have a top notch powerplay. The Gophers, Bulldogs, even Mankato have excellent powerplays every year. I don't have the answer but I wish Blais would seek the advice from someone who does.
