If it comes to a point where ALL of our options are extinguished, and our student athletes are punished because of the Fighting Sioux nickname, it's time to retire it. If we do retire it, we should have no nickname and go by North Dakota. No nickname is the only nickname that will be not offensive to everyone. Now, how many negatives do I need to have in that last sentence to not make it a positive?

I take offense to that. I used to be one, and you just said that I lied more times that not. Yes, there are "bad apples" out there, but in my agency they were few and far between....and they didn't last very long. Nevermind, you're a defense attorney and your outstanding clients are always telling the truth-even when the truth is caught on video tape.....and what they tell you was very different than what happened on the tape.

I can't believe this thread has gotten as long as it has. They screwed up. So what, everyone does. Learn from it and move on. It's not for any of us to decide what should or should not happen. It's between the CJ system and what Hak decides to do with HIS team. Upstanding citizens get arrested everyday......most of them just made a mistake. The mistake isn't nearly as important as what you learn from the mistake.

Depends on where you work........Sheryl has had a couple hits on the country charts with songs that have crossed over from pop to country. She's also in the recording studio now working on a country album. She did record with Brooks and Dunn on Building Bridges and performed at the CMA's a while back. I think that it will work out good for Sheryl to make the move to country. As long as it's not a touchy feely album like Wildflower was I'm good with it. She's talented, she can do pretty much anything.......and as long as she closes at WE Fest with Led Zepplin's Rock and Roll, I'll be happy.
