    Recruiting

What did the article say? I'm not going to pay $1.95 to the stupid Forum to read it.
  2. I've been there - on an Al Pearson fan bus. We had a great time! The arena is small and old, but a whole lot of fun. Sioux fans were all over the place - our bus had tickets all together on the end of one side. The arena reminds me of an old basketball fieldhouse. Seats just on the 2 sides - not the ends. There was a "stage" area on one end where their awesome band sits and plays - they were a lot of fun. They came over to our section to serenade us at one point. Real friendly. Looked like tickets were not ever hard to get - lots of empty seats. You should really go there.
  3. He said "FROM" her - not "FOR" her. You need to read a little more carefully 'LetsGoSioux'. And read between the lines!!
  4. I wear a signed, game worn, Jim Archibald jersey to EVERY game. I bring a white (new logo) Sioux jersey along on road trips and wear it during the day but "Archie" goes on for game time. He hasn't missed a game with me for years!! I know I shouldn't wear it, but I just have to.
  5. Al Pearson has 10 seats left on his 2 fan buses to St. Louis! Cost is $180.00 and includes bus ride to and from St. Louis, all transportation in St. Louis and "refreshments" on the bus! Hotel rooms are already booked - you pay for your own. Four of these seats come with game tickets which are $155.00 each. He's still looking for tickets for the other 6 seats. If you have your own tickets and just want to come on the bus and get a room, those 6 spots would be great for you. Call Al on his cell at 218-779-5740. Do not miss the Frozen Four - this is the way to go!!!
  6. DaveO are your tickets gone? I would be interested if they are not.
  7. Thanks so much - I was watching the French video - but the only thing I understand is "Toews"!! Now I can mute the frenchies and listen to the english version - a little off on the timing, but oh well. Thanks again.
  8. Is there an audio link you can post??
  9. got the hotel info finally. We are staying at the Econo Lodge Madison - 4726 East Washington. How far away from the festivities are we? Would cab fare be brutal?? I'm excited now after reading all these great posts with ideas on where to go. Hopefully we score some game tix too. Leaving 2 weeks from today - I'm pumped now!
  10. Thanks so much for that info - both of you. These are awesome suggestions. I'm pumped already. Can we take a cab and get dropped off close enough? Actually can't remember where our hotel is - I'll check that out and let you know. Maybe if all of us want to go we will take the Sioux party bus and all 47 of us will go. The bus driver may know where to go. Can't wait - looking forward to more suggestions!
  11. Anyone have information on where (what streets) to partake in the tailgating for Wisco. Badgers vs. Mn Gophers on October 14th. Is it all around the stadium, or farther away? We'll be in Madison for Sioux/Wisco hockey for the weekend and thought it would be fun to get in on the Div I football tailgating. Heard from some friends who went to Badgers football games when Bollinger played there - they said it was unreal how fun the tailgating was. Don't care so much about the game, (although if we had cheap tix we'd go) but thought what better way to start off the day with some early drinking. We'll wear our Sioux hockey jerseys and see what kind of trouble we can get in. Game time is 11:00 AM though, so the partying will start very early - maybe we should stay up from Friday night! Any info would be appreciated. Does anyone know of any links to Wisconsin forum websites - maybe someone there would correspond with us.
  12. Just got the "word". You can renew your Sioux Kids Club memberships beginning Monday, Sept 11th in the Sioux Shop. They suggested the afternoon - so maybe you should wait until Tuesday (?) to be sure.
  13. Has anyone heard anything regarding the Sioux Kid's Club this season? We usually have the renewal forms in the mail by now. Home opener is 11 days away and no tickets for the kids yet. I hope this was not scrapped this year - that will be VERY disappointing!
  14. Meet the Sioux night for hockey (both men's and women's teams) will be on Monday, October 2nd.

    Road Trips?

There is a fan bus going to the UNI game! Al Pearson has a bus going at 1:00 Friday, Sept 8th - staying at the Ramada Inn both Friday and Saturday nights (game time is 4:05 on Saturday the 9th). $125.00 includes the bus fare, "refreshments" on the bus trip, game ticket, tailgate party ticket. The tailgate party is from 1:00 - 4:00 on Saturday before the game - sponsored by UND alumni and includes food and drink. Should be a great time- 38 seats left on the bus the last I heard. Call Al at 218-779-5740 or Dyana Beaton at 701-741-6807 to reserve your spot.

    Thank You

Mike - thanks for the memories, both on and off the ice. Thanks for staying 4 years and endearing yourself in our hearts. Thanks for graciously coming over to our house for Thanksgiving dinner, but mostly for the fun time you showed the kids playing "mini sticks" in the basement. They will always remember that. You're a class act. We love ya man!! Good luck in your future endeavors, I hope they include coming back to Grand Forks some day. If you are ever in a corporate meeting, take a swig out of the big wheel's water glass - just for old time's sake!!
  17. Why wasn't #18 available? My daughter liked that guy. We would be interested in that one - but it wasn't listed as "available".
  18. Not interested for $75.00, that's NOT face value - thanks for responding tho!
  19. I'll be wearing my green, blackhawk logo, 1985, game worn, signed, Jim Archibald jersey. My pride and joy- I'll wear that for the games and my white Bennett for the day on Friday
  20. VERY interested - what are the details? Price? Where are the tickets located in the arena? Please reply or call 701-772-1150
  21. I will buy them ANYWAY. Please e-mail me at dbeaton@altru.org if they are still available
  22. Oh my gosh - I just listened to that audio clip. I can't even describe the emotion you feel listening to it again. I had tears in my eyes but I was laughing. I too have another favorite team to root for now. I wish I would have bought a Holy Cross t-shirt at the West Regionals. That was the most fun I have had in Engelstad Arena. After the HC/Goopher game we all said we already got our money's worth out of the tickets. Thanks Holy Cross for the great hockey memory and for the kind words about our arena and fans. It would be good to see some of you in Milwaukee next weekend - hop on a bus and come on over to Wisco!!
  23. I'm going to cry now!! That's ok (heavy sigh) I'll be fine (heavier sigh) ALL BY MYSELF back here in GF this weekend. SOMEONE PLEASE COME GET ME!!!!!!!!!!!
