I am on my way to the post office to mail a thank you card to Jen at Holy Cross. Although I can't decipher most of the signatures, it sure looks like the autographed jerseys include the entire team's--yeah, Tyler McGregor, too. She also included some 2005-06 hockey programs for the game-worn purchasers. That was a Massachusetts-Nice thing to do. I've also thanked Forecheck elsewhere for all her hard work. Me, I have trouble organizing eggs in a carton, so I'm most appreciative of her efforts.

I'm posting a new thread because the other one got hijacked. If you ordered a Holy Cross practice or game-worn jersey via Forecheck and anticipated picking it up from me in Grand Forks or giving me mailing instructions in order to get the jersey to you but you haven't yet heard from me, please forgive the oversight. I've already delivered many jerseys and received instructions to deliver more. If you haven't made arrangements with me, PM me and we'll git 'er done. Thanks to Forecheck for organizing the jersey buy. Mine is going in a nice frame along with the JPar quote to the effect that "Hard Work Beats Talent When Talent Doesn't Work Hard." Thanks to the Crusaders for showing me the truth in that.

No, I don't have them yet. But I understand that they are in the mail. Forecheck has advised me that they ARE autographed and Sioux-cia graciously provided me with the list of fans who will either pick the jersey up from me in Grand Forks or provide me with further mailing instructions. See the last post in HC radio highlights thread to make sure your name is on that list. When I get the shipment, I will post that fact in this thread. Then, I will attempt to PM each of you via your SS.com user name. Or, if you don't hink I can be trusted to find you, YOU can PM me. What I don't have on my list is any way to distinguish one practice jersey from another, since they apparently aren't numbered. Was there some size specification you guys placed with your orders?

I will out myself as the Sioux fan who presented JFR with this jersey. I bought it in the Sioux Shop at the new Ralph, maybe the first week it was open. It had been worn by Tim Skarperud in a retro-tribute at the last game played at the old Ralph circa late Sept-early Oct. 2001 and right before the opening game at the new Ralph with the Gophers. The last game at the old Ralph was very emotional for me for a lot of reasons, not the least of which was that I sang the national anthem for the first time since 9/11 (more accurately, I SOBBED my way through the national anthem). Skarpy went on to have the best season of his career that year, if memory serves, and although I don't know him personally, those who do have attested to his great character on and off ice. Wear #18 in continued good health, JFR!

I heard Hak say last night that the first game of the 06-07 season is an Oct. 1 exhibition with Manitoba. Could we get a countdown counter to that event on the forum page, once the game time is set? P.S. GDM, if you're reading this, Derrick Byfuglien DID play in 6 games for the Sioux in 00-01. I knew I'd seen his name on a game-worn jersey and in the list of letterwinners in "Fight On Sioux."

Not sure how it happened but I still have a half-dozen of the corrected Final 5 posters. In case you don't know, this one shows UND--correctly identified--and at the top of the pyramid as befits their Broadmoor winning status. I bought some mailing tubes at the post office so if you aren't a local but still want a poster, PM me and I will send it out to you today wherever in the world you are.

I was there, too. Maybe 25th in line before the gates opened so I got the autographs while things were still quite organized. Lots of people showed up, attesting to the love and loyalty we have for these guys. The players were very accomodating and friendly, joking with fans, posing for pictures and signing anything placed in front of them. I love this team!

Absolutely, I would be happy to be the ND point person for the HC jerseys. Work out the details with me, Forecheck, when you know them.
