Grant Potulny is a traitor? Not even close to the truth. As you may know, he had a brother Ryan. Und hockey blew this opportunity. They paid a price as well. Both chose to play for don lucia n the gophers. They both hoisted nattys!! You shouldve said: Grant Potulny, he’s a two time natty winner. Und blew it. Ive been friends with this family for 52 yrs. You might be right. On the flipside, we find out the daughter of the headcoach owns a logo? The logo’s on the team jersey? The legal papers for the logo were filed in 2020. The license was renewed in 2023? I think? Did und find out about this when they owed money for using the logo? They owed money tonthe daughter of the coach? This is a ginormous red flag. Miller’s a huge red flag. Think about it. Colleges, nhl teams didnt want to touch miller. The commissioner of the nhl realizes this cant happen. So he releases a statement that miller wont be allowed to play in the nhl. But in their most infinate of wisdom. Our a.d. & coach think they can take this on? The repercussions of this would be serious. Special interest groups and the aclu would rip our university to shreds. Huge blackeye for und. On top of it all, throw in mis handled off ice player issues. Nattys would only be a mirage. This would point to lack of ethics, integrity, common sense and maybe intelligence? Irish, there seems to be a pattern here. in no particular order. + BB wanted to bring in mitchell miller. Miller grew up in ohio. Miller bullied a disabled kid for many yrs. The legal system got involved. Nhl teams wanted miller. The nhl commissioner finally said. He will not play in the nhl. + Then we learn that BBs daughter owns the NODAK logo thats on the sioux jerseys. + It also seems to be true that a team captain was trying to mess with another players girlfriend. So this became an issue. The team captain really wasnt held accountable. I believe this created a problem amongst the players. + I just think..where there’s smoke there’s fire. I’d guess people on these forums could add to the list. + Do these things speak of a larger issue? Maybe BB has a hard time dealing w/tough issues. Does this lead und to wonder about ethics and integrity deficiencies? As a result, BB wouldnt be able to build a real team of winners. + Maybe und could see future problems. Like media outlets starting to snoop around. Issues like these can raise all holy hades. They’re very difficult to resolve and very costly as well. We all have different thoughts. Yes Irish. I did watch the sioux. I totally agree with you. Please know, ive never claimed to be a gr8 hockey mind. In addition, i never played the sport either. My years spent @ und were marvelous. I love the game and this team. I just get the feeling there’s a bit more here than meets the eye. There may not be anything else. Go sioux!!

Und parting ways w/brad berry just doesnt pass the smell test. My gut tells me there’s much more to this. More than failing to advance deeper into the post season. Off ice issues must be front and center. Maybe someday all of us will know what really happened here. Go sioux!!

Do we really think: +und would pretend to do an exhaustive search for the best coach? +Then down the road, we find und didnt want to consider many other candidates? +we find out it was all just a sham Und athletics would never recover from this. Just be glad we’ve not had to deal with a situation like the gophers did in 1980s. Brad buetow was the coach. They had the “sheila” kerfluffle. I believe th gophers were finally sued years later. Was very nasty publicity

Schloss….best writer in the country? Since when? The GF Herald is nothing more than a birdcage liner. Dont lose sight of the fact, they dont even publish a daily. They quit publishing a daily because circulation was so low. People didnt want to pay to get the paper. If you read this rag….pay close attention to how many stories are actually generated by herald staffers. Majority of news is taken from national media sources. One last thing. The number of news stories you see in a newspaper…..is strictly based on how many column inches of advertising was sold. Schloss isnt even a small fish in a little pond. Schloss isnt much of a journalist. He just drinks the green koolaid that und serves him. Forget about schloss. The pipeline will yield better info than he ever will. Berry wont go anywhere right now. He’ll finish his last year. Then ride off into the sunset. He doesnt need to work.

I also feel that BB’s a nice guy. But consider this. If memory serves me correctly, coach Berry & the a.d. wanted to allow mitchell miller(defenseman)to play hockey here. Nhl teams wanted this kid. But news media printed stories about how Miller and his friend bullied a disabled kid in ohio. Und president said miller would not play hockey here. Nhl commissioner said miller wouldnt be allowed to play in the nhl. But our coach wanted him. Into the mix, now add the crap that’s been going with players off ice. Maybe BB isnt able to make the right decisions when it really matters most. Things like this will ruin a hockey program. No wonder we dont seem to play well as a team.

Being one and done was no surprise to many loyal sioux fans. WM is able to raise their level of play. Right now they just have the right stuff. Quick question. Is it really a big advantage to und to have numerous future nhl players on our team? Current group of players dont seem to be all in on the concept of team. Wonder if these players really enjoy and have fun playing together? Just seems like somethings missing. Seems like off ice, this current group of players could at times be strangers. Today Arizona decided not to draft this kid. Why? All of a sudden they realized th upside wasnt worth it? It's quite obvious they got alot of pushback, and they realized this could spin out of control. Why should we care if this hockey player gets a second chance? My gut tells me mitchell miller's got some deep seeded issues. Something just doesnt feel right here. Furthermore, i don't believe this will end well. All i see is bad press, protests, and a black eye for und. I hope coach Berry has a change of heart, and sends this kid on his way.
