Just a post script, do you think Indiana wins a National Title unless, this Alumni came aboard? https://www.sportingnews.com/us/ncaa-football/news/how-much-mark-cuban-donated-indiana-nil-funding/afbaba2e473cfb56806a2f09

I believe that mainly should fall on the Alumni Foundation and Administration, although a Coach can certainly help at times. In UND case, we do very little to nothing for any Sports other than Hockey. Not sure you guys remember the UND Baseball Team helped clean the Ralph Engelstead Arena to help support Uniforms and travel for their program until it was cut.

Nice spin... Upgrade your facilities, offer some amenities, construct a NIL program, get a fan base, offer better pay for the Coach, his assitants and support staff, but still no guarantee.

I trust Greg McDermott's basketball knowledge over anyone calling the shots at UND. I have known Greg for over 35 years; he will tell you the Truth. Paul Sather is a Good Coach, a good recruiter, and understands the game! He is currently the Best Option UND can afford. If UND could pay $500,000 to $1 million a year, then other options would be available. I'm fine with Paul Sather leading this program; he has faced more challenges in the complexity of today's game than his previous Coaches Rich Glas, and Brian Jones. Winning is not easy, and for the most part we have been competitive, barring transfers and injuries.

100% - 22:45 minute mark

All UND cares about is 75% Hockey, 20% Football and the rest of the sports get 5%

Their Coach is in her 2nd year! They are 12-5
-
Well, you can really see the improvement! 12 turnovers, 11 points. Scored 9 points in the first quarter, 2 points in the second quarter, but we did have 2 assists. Down 28-11 at the half. π
-
The point gaurd he brought in this year from his previous school, leads the team with 69 turnovers π₯

Hutter was hired as number 1 assistant and associate head coach two years ago. He has had a hand in the departure portal and restocking of players he believed in and wanted.

Hopefully, we can get a win. Omaha hosts a 2-12 Record, and held Open Tryouts just a month ago to fill its roster. https://www.facebook.com/HurrdatSports/posts/omaha-womens-basketball-is-hosting-open-tryouts-at-baxter-arena-on-dec-15the-tea/863252296465640/

Yes, and to your point. We played everybody and all of our D1 future projects were only able to score 11 points in the fourth quarter.
-
Kind of poetic, that the senior leader that didnβt start the first five games of the year, Mikayla Aumer connects on five three-pointers in a row! In the third quarter @UNDwbasketball now lead! By 45 - 68 to 23 over Mayville State! ππβ€οΈ after 3 quarters! I know itβs Mayville, but itβs still quite an accomplishment!
-
Craig was another one, UND graduate. That was never granted an interview back when we hired Brian Jones.
-
With all this D1 talent in training. I should probably bet the farm that will sweep Dickinson State, Bismarck, State College, and Mayville State, correct?
-
In a conference we won twice 2014 and 2017 right after being accredited to a D1 program. Even made the dance! Just lost to Montana and MSU by a total of 72 points. Giving up 59 points and 38 total turnovers! How far we have fallen, is so sad. I refuse to believe Montana girls are better than what is available to us as well. Region, location, facilities and climate.

Basketball intelligence and teamwork lost this one! Effort, energy, enthusiasm all there! Shot selection in 2nd half was horrible.

Playoffs Second Round 12/6/25: UND @ Tarleton State
coachdags replied to UND-FB-FAN's topic in Football
Very disappointed, we did not coach or play to our capability today. Feel like we are in a better place, but still have some glaring weaknesses and characteristics of past performances and programs. Good overall season ππ #LGH -

Arguably UND had the best D2 Arena in Basketball π the Hyslop when packed could hold 5,000+ fans. Fans were engaged, loud, knowledgeable and students actually supported the programs! Hyslop Hysteria was a thing. Winning streaks were long and memorable! We WON, and kids came to play for that!

Good question, do not know. He had an interest before he joined Ryun Williams at CSU in 2018. Ryun and Rico go way back. Played against each other in the NCC, UND vs USD, both point guards. Both hired/recommended by Greg McDermott at Wayne, Nebraska, Ryun was HC-WBB, Rico HC-MBB, they overlapped 8 years there. They have become great friends and Coach well together. He expressed interest to me both during the Brewster Change and the Mallory Change, but never interviewed; both hires were done in-house and very quickly.

UND moved to D1 status in 2008, completed its transition in 2012. It has been 13 years. Just last year, they got their 1st film study room. Although they have to share with the Men's program. It came mostly from outside donations. 13 Years to get a film room? Unacceptable if you want to recruit players who are D1, players like the facilities and amenities. Locker room, Study Facilities, Film Rooms, Snack Areas, Conditioning and Weight rooms, - all the things Hockey has.... Also, we could hire someone with knowledge and experience in a D1 program, which we have not the last 2 hires.
-
You will get your wish: 3 Games in December against Bismarck State College, Mayville State, and Dickinson State. All 3 should be cake walks for a truly D1 Program.
-
Thank you Defense!!! Scoring drives. 33 yards -3 pts 20 yards -7 pts 50 yards-7pts 25 yards -7 pts @UNDfootball π

For those of you wondering about Turnovers, it can be fixed, by recruiting and coaching. There is a guy at Colorado State that would love to be here, but never extended an invite or granted an interview. Year end and year out Rico Burkett (UND Grad)- Asst at CSU has his Rams competitive and fun to watch.
