I don't blame today's student's, but rather today's society. Today's students have grown up in the world of political correctness, so what happened back in the 70's & 80's at UND would not be allowed today. It's sad, as it made for great college experiences for those students. The new Ralph also contributes to making organization efforts limited. The old Ralph, show up early and get your same seats every weekend...alongside all the other students, with no one behind you to complain you're being to rowdy, interrupting their family time.

MTU will give them a challenge as well, especially at Houghton. The Gophers do need a sweep next week, in looking at the national picture, but it's not going to get any easier for them, as they'll have a tough first round opponent in the WCHA playoffs. If they don't get by that weekend, I don't see them getting in the national tournament. Personally, even though I like seeing a lot of teams from the WCHA in the national tournament, I have no problem seeing the Gophers miss the nationals.

The only thing I worry about today is that CC is playing good hockey as of late, but as you noted, you have to play good hockey teams to get any hardware, so you might as well start testing yourself. March is upon us (okay, it's the last day of February, but close enough), and it's time to get your game to the highest level, and the only way to do that is to play good hockey teams. I expect this weekend to provide us with some entertaining hockey, and I'm sure Hak will have our squad ready to play some hockey. CC likes to play more open hockey like we do, so that should compliment our game, rather than the trap teams.

You're right. With Zach playing the way he is, I believe Lou will be willing to match any team's offer to keep him in Jersey.

Yeah, he is relentless...maybe more so this year than past years, but he's always had that "never give up" attitude, which has set him apart from other players similar to him. I just think he's learned the NHL game and because of that, he's confident in his abilities, and knows where to go on the ice and what to do in those situations. It does appear now that his line is trying to set him up for the hat trick. Zajac just made a pass to him when he could have easily taken a shot himself (and probably should have taken the shot himself).

He's definitely a lot more confident this year than years past.

Make that #38 for Zach (2nd of the day). Sweet goal for him there.

Exactly. The Sioux control their own destiny. As long as they keep winning, they'll remain in the top 14 to make the national tournament (of course this is irrelevant as they'll win the Final 5, earning their bid into the national tournament). Keep winning and they'll have a nice 2 seed if not a 1 seed in the tournament.

May suck tonight, but wait until national tournament time. You'll be loving it! When a ton of posters are complaining about having tape delayed games (and I'm sure I'll be one of them this year, since I can't have a dish here), you'll be able to watch whatever game you want live. I'm still telling my wife that I'm going to take a chainsaw to my backyard so I can get a dish to find a line of sight!

I haven't had Dish for about 8 months now, but 420's come to mind...421 specifically. Fun to watch this Duluth/Gophers game. Now Duluth needs to find a way to finish them off. EDIT: After reading AZ's post fully, no, I don't think FCS was offered specifically on Dish. I had the sports package, with FSN specifically. The 420's are the Alternate channels, and I could pull in Denver games on there a lot, and during tournament time, they'd show a lot of games as well.

(Watching the Colorado announcers and you could hear some of the same excitement in his voice as Toews goal last year, though it doesn't come anywhere near Johnny's goal) Add a goal for Zajac.
