Hello guys did any of you see the Dept Chart. Quincy is 3rd string and l bet he is Redshirted. Reid will be the 3rd QB. Quincy will be asked to switch positions. I saw they have signed a QB in the next class who they are high on. And Christian Cochran is a number 2nd behind Tyler. Wow..
Quincy will not be switching positions. He is the highest rated QB UND has signed. I know they are just as high on Quincy as they are on Feeney coming in next year.

Looks like Shipman will be playing for St. Thomas.

Pretty good pick up....
I take it to mean, that with everything that is being shutdown in the sports world and world in general, that he is saying "recruitment is still open", one thing in our world that isn't closed.

Anyone know anything about this kid, other than he played with Quincy? I didn't see any other offers. Basing my opinion only on his twitter post he seems like he has a good head on his shoulders.
I like his size at 6' 3", especially if he adds some weight and can play physical. Nice there there is a connection with the QB already. Maybe this is a good alternative to some of those Matteo, Bonnin, or some of the other guys that we may not land, though it would be nice to add another top notch WR. Though I'm hoping we see good production out of Pifer and Preston, so maybe they won't recruit the position as heavily this year if they can't land the guys they want, who knows?
Thoughts?
I think Preston will be great and we should always recruit WR hard. Also, don't believe Pifer is on the roster, so his production may be limited.

UND gets another commit in C Danny Carroll out of Kansas.

Jaden Norby. 4th commit for the Hawks.
UND 360 sees him as a perfect TE fit for Danny's offense. I think he can slide into the role Cloyd had this last year. Looks like they have very similar sizes.

Does he project as a RB or LB? To me I see him playing more at LB

I am loving the recruits we are bringing in and putting out offers to. I think our offense in a couple years is gonna be dynamic and dangerous.

Is Tyler supposed to be Tyree?

If Verbals is correct, UND should have one left. I do agree, this one needs to go to a big.
I heard somewhere we now have a walk on spot and a scholarship spot.

Took a look at Verbals and it also noted at Saddler has left the team.
So we should have two roster spots open. We need at least one to be a big. Will Berg??

I would agree with this.
I would start Ihenaco over Shockey, so Shockey can be our backup PG.

I would like to know of some of the "language" of this contract in regards to buy-out and transitioning to an administrative role at UND.
I would also like to know is this: Will this time be used to groom a certain staff member to take over when Bubba makes the call?
I see this as a great opportunity for us to groom Danny. When Bubbas contract is up he retires and that will look better on the university than firing Bubba.

I completely agree with you. I think our transition into the valley will be very until and tough to tell where we sit until we play the games. I do feel that those bottom end Valley teams and very poor, where last season we didnt have many "incredibly bad" teams on the schedule. Ya ya I get it the top end Valley teams are good, but take the Bison out of there and it's a slightly above average conference. I think WR will be fine. Maeg is a legit NFL. Cochran will be a legit shifty dude we have been missing in the past. Watch for Zavalney to step up be that missing piece. 360 guys like him and they have intel we don't. That with the 4-game freshman rule and we will be fine. I do agree with you though. All in all, we aren't very deep.
I saw Tom Miller a while back mentioned Zavalney moving to tight end to be a mismatch. Could be very similar to what we will have with Klein coming in.

This would be a huge get!!! I really hope the opportunity to play with his brother again, is a huge factor for him.

It’s true. The strength coach can’t control how committed guys are off the field.
True. That comes from the culture the head coach sets. I am confident in Danny and Coach P to figure things out with the run game next year and give an all around good offense.

I don’t care how much they weigh as long as the play improves. It equally does no good having a 320 lb lineman with belly hanging over pants. We need to start getting the o linemen to develop into a leaner 290-305. Some of the guys will be there next
Hope you are right. Still a little nervous with the same strength coach running the show, who couldn't get our starting 5 to where they needed to be this year.

Not sure which coach had the idea to drop the OL weight, but I really hope it is fixed. Need to show we can adjust and learn from our mistake.

I agree with above poster
why we have two spots open right before signing day? Boy like SCSU was shutting down wtf epic fail
We do have the late signing day as well? Could the spots open be because of that?

Any word on Vaughn? Did he have a good visit this weekend?

Hell of an athlete as well (plays basketball as well). JCC has usually done pretty well in FB in years past.
Is he a walk on or scholly? Any chance if we flip Vaughn that we take this guy as well and still take a FBS dropdown?

My thoughts on a potential new coaching staff for next year.
Head Coach - Bodie Reeder (ties to Eastern Washington, currently at North Texas)
Offensive Coordinator- Freund (Good potential, relationship with current offensive recruits, developed schuster pretty well)
OL - Pawlak (have some good recruits coming in next year)
Defensive Coordinator- defensive position coach from NDSU.
DB- Stepps (#1 pass defense)Everyone else is new hires.

With Chaves connections to EWU, wonder if he would look to poach someone off there staff for our new HC.

I think he could be great at OLB for us. Reminds me a little of Jaxon Turner. Rangy, playmaker at the position.
