who said i disagreed on our facilities........alerus, pollard, a grass practice field (lust like everyone elses grass field), and our weights weight the same in our weight room just like Idaho and ndac's.....
our facilities are our least of our concerns currently and with the the facilites coming in months...we are and will be fine in that capacity.
Our facilities will be fine once we have memorial village and the addition to pollard done. Weights might weigh the same but it matters where those weights are being lifted.

how did this qb and those wr's do against a "good" team on saturday?
i see this "facilities" stuff/excuses popping up again and again......why? why now?
QB had one really bad play when he tried doing to much. WR had some very nice catches. And if you think facilities don't matter when it comes to attracting the top QB's and WR's than I don't know what to tell you.

i think the two areas of recruiting in danny's tenure has/is been qb and wr's and those positions have been sketchy.....
Best QB room and WR room we have had in Bubba's tenure. Under recruited QB on the Walter Payton watch list and an all American WR. Doing this all with limited facilities and a old, defensive minded head coach. Guess we might have different definitions of sketchy.

Oh goodie another UND lifer to get us 6-7 wins for a decade.
Because Danny will be the exact same as Bubba just like his offense was the exact same as Rudolph's when he took over...

He’s been here 13 years.
And has made himself a successful offensive coordinator. Most coaches who have P5/G5 offers are taking those. Danny made our WR's look good under an inept OC and now has our offense as one of the best in the FCS. With new facilities and continued success on that side of the ball, he will have our offense at an elite level. If only he could be our head coach now to recruit some dudes for our defense.

I’d rather see someone up and coming who has enough success here who can get G5/P5 looks than another UND guy.
I would argue that Danny has the capabilities of being successful enough here to get those same looks.

would one be specific to und (so get it painted) or would he just grab whatever rig he has on the lot for the job?
Have one truck painted for UND.

As I recall, Werner painted hundreds of its signature, baby blue trucks black when it landed Dollar General as a client, so it might not be unprecedented. Just shows a different level of dedication, I suppose.
Just need to paint one. Would think that would be reasonable.

4 different qb's (q being one of them again) will throw td's in this game........

We don’t need to score quick because we know we can March slowly down the field to burn clock and deep out defense on the sidelines and fresh. Making the game about time of possession has kept us in the games against opposing good offenses. We need to keep those good offenses on the sidelines. This is what kept our last FBS games close. Defense getting stops is key to winning on Saturday. Keep the ball in Tommy’s hands!
I will still happily take an explosive pass play. Like Danny said at media day, time of possession is important but it is also hard to have 10+ play scoring drives and explosive pass plays are needed.

Just over 10,000 I believe.

I have long thought that our troubles hitting on deep balls the last few years boiled down to two factors:
1 - Lack of a dominant running game to bring safeties into the box.
2 - Lack of receivers who can get separation and run by defenders.
Eliodor might be the first receiver we've had in awhile that could do this. We were much better at this in the (gulp) Rudy era...mainly because we had two RBs (Oliviera and Santiago) who demanded so much attention!
Sometimes I think about what our offensive production would have looked like if Danny was our OC running this system in 2015-16...it makes me sad if I'm just being honest!
Our run game has been good, especially last year with Hoosman and looks to be good again this year.

Just now watching the longer version of the highlights (I did not see the game live or on replay yesterday), and I got to see a lot of plays that the shorter version of the highlights didn't have.
That play in the second quarter where we fake the QB sneak with Vaughn and then Tommy comes to take the snap and then pass to Vaughn is just great.
I also got to see the 2-point attempt on our first TD for the first time. That definitely should have been caught for 2. Oh well.
Good runs by Smith, Skokna, and Z throughout. Offense is so dynamic with those runners and our receivers.
Gutsy call late in the 2nd on 4th & short from deep in the zone. Glad that decision didn't come back to bite us. This place would've burned down again. Another gutsy call is the pass the Belquist on 4th & 1. Would have had lots of options on that play call, but that definitely wasn't one to expect.
Schuster just doing Schuster things. Man, what an asset to bring scrambling into his arsenal. Also an asset - Vaughn getting short yardage seemingly automatically.
Great punt late in the first half to pin them at the 5.
Defense still struggling with some tackling and DL getting pushed a little too much for our liking. Defense wasn't all bad though. Some good coverage, and some sacks. Great play in the last minute of the half to turn the ball over and not let them score.
Griffin is an nice asset to be able to bring in on offense to get path cleared or a push from behind. Nice pickup in the off season.
The two touchdowns that were scored late by NAU, does anyone know if that was our backups in at defense?
After the two touchdowns, a nice series by our offense to end the game.
The last two TD's were against are second string.

It has to be worth calling out how awesome Quincy Vaughn is on this team. Has played his role on this team and still just wanted to do more ... whatever it takes to help the team.
When I heard he was moving to TE, I thought "ok, here is a kid that can't be QB but they want to keep on the team". We don't throw to TE much and I figured it was just a way to keep the kid around. Q has been awesome so far. Does whatever he is asked to do. routes, blocks, runs, etc. Sounds like a great leader and just a great person off the field. Enjoyed watching the half time segment on him this week. Hope he has an amazing year and continues to be an impact player, and an advocate for UND (played a role in UND landing EJ Emery in hockey).
2 games and 2 TD. Plenty more to come, and looking forward to seeing the passing TD. When was the last time UND had a player, run, pass and catch a TD in a season?
Believe he has 3 TD's. One receiving against Drake and 2 this last week rushing.

Does anyone know what happened?
I see she was back playing in the game happening now. Not sure what she was out with but happy to have her back!

I just saw Gayle was in a video posted on UND Volleyball's Instagram and Twitter. Hopefully she is able to return to the team soon. She also mentioned she has 3 years of eligibility left which is awesome!

I would be shocked if Zellers doesn't end up at UND.
I hope we get him, but would question why we didn't land him in the first place.

9-2 or 8-3. Bigger, more mature O and D lines and Touchdown Tommy in his final year.
It is a 12 game schedule so hopefully we can be 10-2 or 9-3!!

From what I saw at fall camp, this 2 deep is about right. Mildly surprised no Kory Tai but not really. Don’t need him. Don’t burn the shirt just yet.
We are 8 deep at receiver and have a good mix. We shouldn't burn his shirt unless injuries force us too.

not taking td's or big plays when they are given to you on a platter is a reason why you lose games sometimes....tommy not hitting bo when he was wide open against nebraska for example
wide open hole in the middle of the o line against jmu and our wr trips otis....do we win if that is a td run?
giving points to ndac on our fake punt.....
it seems like if it aint one thing in these big games it's the other.....
bad news bears sometimes.
Otis was also tripped against Utah State when we played them a couple years ago.

Anyone know what happened to Gayle? She didn't make the trip to Bozeman but is still listed on the roster.

Anyone know if these are going to be used for all the games?
Not going to be for all. We have new green helmets as well with white facemasks that the players have been wearing during practice.

Boltmann 2.0?
I think we could have some trick plays with him, but he will end up being a better overall receiver than Boltmann, IMO.

How does UND determines whether guys like this play DL or Linebacker? He is really fast and sounds like he could play LB, similar to a Jaxson Turner type. Given that UND plays the 3-4, can anyone tell me about the traits the OLB need to have VS. our DE? Obviously the DE should be bigger, but at the same time, we always seem to have a LB at the line of scrimmage as well. Are both OLB positions at UND the same, or is one of the OLB players supposed to be heaver or faster than the other OLB on the field? I've never played competitive FB, just trying to learn the intricacies of UND's defense.
Ideally, in my mind, he would play the position McNaboe plays now. Get him up to 250 and let him loose! For the other DE spot I would like to see us get a guy in the 270 - 290 range to stop the run. Lastly, for our linebacker spot the ideal for me was when we had Turner, Larson, Rogers, and Haas. 3 more traditional linebackers and then one to rush playing on the opposite side of your smaller DE.
