  1. Only half, but I have heard several reports from the other half. I agree that REA is among the top, but it is not the best.
  2. Oops, I just meant Kohls. They have great clothing at reduced prices.
  3. For those that didn't figure it out from my last post, the Kohl Center. They are some of the stupidest fans I have ever seen, yet they could teach a clinic on creating a home-ice advantage.
  4. I'm sorry, the correct answer is yes. They stand all game, jump, and dance. The general public all stands for goals (could we please get a louder goal horn at REA?), and almost everyone stays up for the sieve cheer. The entire arena also stands during the second intermission to sing the school song. Lastly, some weird old guy (many of you could fit that description ) leads a cheer that gets the entire crowd involved. The standing during gameplay aside, is it really that hard to get everyone involved?
  5. Trivia Question: Do the students stand at the arena with the best WCHA atmosphere?
  6. Can someone please explain to me how the student proposal reinforces bad behavior? I don't see how being close to the goalie encourages people to swear. I know when I slip and swear, it is directed at the ref or a cheap player. Obviously the solution to improve my swearing is to improve the officiating. The second issue is the standing. I can't remember from reading the proposal, but does it state that standing would now be allowed? Standing is not a bad thing like swearing. The probelm results that the arena was not designed for standing because anywhere in the lower bowl, you will be blocking people if you are standing. There are suite all the way around. So if there were no suites on the end, what would be wrong with promoting standing. Standing can be a good thing if it doesn't blow the view of others. If you are going to focus on that as a problem, things like signs and big hats need to be addressed as well.
  7. If you are mainly looking at this past season, consider how the tickets were distributed. As for the student senate representing the students, I think that is crap. Do you really feel like the US government is really representing you and doing things that you want? Even when you find that odd person that might want to make all of these great changes, the system prevents it. For the sake of keeping PCM happy: Diggler, Yzerman wants to meet you tonight. He said he is in a hurry and can only meet you at the Olympic Ice enterance at 1 a.m. Come alone.
  8. Great, I guess we will be greated by a Mapletoft statue now.
  9. The last time I checked, the students don't have the ability to do anything else.
  10. I have yet to see any evidence for this connection/intent.
  11. As stated before, ND residents are paying some of the costs of UND. Other costs are paid by alumni. What happens in the future when the students are the alumni? I'm not just talking about sports, but everything involved. I have been a student for a long time (maybe even longer than Diggler) and I have been through Baker and Chucky. They have been completely different towards the students in my eyes and I know I would never contribute any money with Chucky around.
  12. Half of the ushers do not know what the NCAA is.
  13. All I know is that I had a few ushers following me everywhere and trying to give me multiple copies.
  14. You mean it didn't help two years ago when the students had done a great job, showed up to the Gopher games the second the doors were open (including those with reserved seats), and then were handed a flier stating that the students were acting horrible and were going to be kicked out?
  15. Is it really that hard to control a minority of the students? Why even bother with the extra security, the strip searches, and the cameras on the student section if it doesn't help?
  16. You might take the heat for a badger thrown at Earl.
  17. What would happen if the NCAA enforced their guidelines on the WCHA officials? I still believe when an official makes a mistake, they must be held accountable.
  18. I am the NCAA. I should sit where a seat can hold a 2,000 pound gorilla, even though I would prefer to stand.
  19. If I had a job and lived in the area, I would request to get season tickets in or near the student section, or by PCM. I have a feeling I wouldn't get either.
  20. Welcome to my world. How does it feel to be stereotyped into being said that you don't cheer? Yet all students stand and swear. It would be nice if people would quit saying that the students need to do this or that. A small minority of the students are causing the problems that the general public are complaining about.
  21. I know one guy that sits on the end where the students could possibly go. He was so excited to be able to bring an air horn to the WJC. I assume the governing body for the WJC allows noise makers, and the NCAA does not.
  22. Why shouldn't the general public have to change their behavior or face the consequences? Show support for your team by cheering, or watch from home. Make sure your tickets are used for the games, or you won't be getting a chance to renew next year. If students aren't on the endangered list, I don't think people wanting to get season tickets are either.
  23. PCM likes everything old. I think the new one is good.
  24. Still no mention of a shuttle to take you from your car to the enterance.
