    Agree completely, it's only tangents like this where he's a brutal follow. When he sticks to college hockey, he's great.

    This has also really rubbed me the wrong way for the past couple years. He's not so much a reporter on a lot of issues, but more an advocate for only one side. It gets really, really annoying.

    I can't speak for everyone, but I'm sure I speak for majority. You know the question, would you rather have your local WNBA team win a championship or find $20? If they win it all or finish 10th, it doesn't matter to the vast majority of people.

    Not all heroes wear capes, some write for the GF Herald. What ends up bothering me about this is instead of taking a step back and looking at this subjectively, you have the likes of Schlossman, that need to be at the front line, fighting for "justice". Things that should matter, like lets say interest for a sport, are thrown out he window, because why should that matter?

    By all means, try to negotiate better wages and if you think boycotting will work, then I don't hate that move either. They are just trying to better their situation. The harsh reality is, that even though you'll likely find support from columnists trying to pat themselves on the back, at the end of the day, nobody cares if they boycott or not. USA hockey is thinking it, but would never say it, because of the fake outrage backlash they'd get, but it's true. Nobody outside of the players and their parents care.

    It's unprofessional and rude. You're right, this won't have some drastic effect on recruiting, but it doesn't shine a good light on Coach Jones at all. It's the little things that matter sometimes, what's frustrating, is all it would take is a 10 second phone call to explain the situation. No problem. If it wasn't Jones, how he doesn't have the SID or someone with him handling this is completely inexcusable.

    Really bad look, no reason to not have someone fill in, or at the very least, give KFAN a heads up that it will no longer work. I mean come on, what are they doing?

    Definitely cheering for Western, (1) Lock for the tournament and great PWR (2) Although big difference in PWR, I don't think Western is that much more talented. In fact, I like how we match up better with Western. Other games today: Lowell & Clarkson. Besides if they play UND, I want to Top 8 who are locks for the tournament to keep winning. It does nobody any good to have UNH running around with a chance to take the auto bid.

    I can see why the Iowa coach was pissed at the end of the UND game. I get playing hard until the end of the game, but full court pressing down by 20 with a couple minutes left and the other teams backups in? Really annoying.

    Updated currently per ESPN. SDSU - 156 RPI Jacksonville St. (15 seed) - 152 RPI Mt. St. Mary's, SDSU, Jax St have all won their tournaments, so have no more games to play. Would it be possible for UND to climb 20 spots with 3 wins (except for East Washington all teams significantly below them in the RPI)? As it sits right now, the real disappointing thing was, I think UND was around 155 before the loss to Sac State, which had them tumble like 20 / 25 spots in the RPI.

    There are three conference championship games tonight that have a huge impact on potential NCAA seeding for the Big Sky winner. Right now, without any upsets in the conference tournaments, UND (if they win) would be in the play-in game. Tonight Northeast: Mt. St. Mary's (164) vs St. Francis (256) on ESPN 2 @ 6pm Summit: SDSU (168) vs Omaha (127) on ESPN 2 @ 8pm Horizon: Milwaukee (255) vs N. Kentucky (91) on ESPN @ 6pm Teams in bold either have worse RPI's than UND or would if UND won three in a row to win the conference championship. Let's hope a couple can pull off the upsets tonight. Edit: Added current RPI's according to ESPN

    Like you both said, wide open, anybody can win type of tournament. I still think that all things considered, if every team was playing their B+ basketball, UND would be the second best team in the conference. I do think Eastern is more talented. Like every other team, UND needs to get hot, no reason they can't win it all this year.

    Over St. Cloud, yes. I'm not sure I'd feel confident betting that they will sweep this weekend, I'd feel very comfortable betting they'd win 2 out of 3 though.

    They have a good d-core, that's for sure, but offensively, they don't have much. Calling them good (they are under .500) would be a stretch.

    I probably shouldn't answer this, because I really have no idea. I would think though that to get in, they need to (1) Win series this weekend (2) Win 1 game in Minneapolis. Both should be very attainable.

    Season ultimately comes down to this best out of 3 series for both teams. There's no doubt in my mind that UND is the better team. The last series at the Ralph, as bad as UND played, SCSU didn't look any better. I don't think SCSU is really good, at all. Not saying they can't win (as they proved earlier this year), but this is about as good of a matchup as you could hope for. If they can't beat SCSU at home best 2 out of 3, they don't deserve to make the playoffs anyway. As disappointing as Boeser / Poganski have been this year, they are a better team if they play. Hopefully both (& Shaw) are ready to go this weekend. Just get it done this weekend.

    Not a surprise, given we are in the conference playoffs for most leagues, but this is make or break weekend for many teams: SCSU (18) @ UND (11T) Vermont (15) @ BC (18) Providence (11T) @ Notre Dame (13) Winner stays alive, loser most likely can call it a season. Not conference playoffs, but Ohio State (17) @ Wisconsin (13) Potential for a lot of movement this weekend in the PWR rankings.

    My take: Win tonight Win first round series (regardless is it's 2-0 or 2-1) Go 1-1 in Minneapolis Lose tonight Need to win NCHC tournament (maybe leaving the door open if they sweep SCSU on the road and beat UMD the first night) Simply put, win tonight and I think they will end up making the tournament. Lose and I don't see it.
