matt greene news........ http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article.php?sid=7887 Perhaps the most applauded signing of the summer was that of former North Dakota rearguard and captain Matt Greene. The player the Oilers have hoped would turn pro for a couple summers finally did on August 15th.

the last sioux player draft review TJ Oshie "Oshie is a quick center with a nose for the net and does not shy away from the physical aspects of the game. He plays with great determination, is a creative passer, and very difficult one-on-one. Oshie, among other things, is known for his determination and coachability. He creates scoring chances whenever he touches the puck and loves to jump into the play and make things happen." http://www.hockeysfuture.com/article.php?sid=7881

nice article, hes very high on toews. he will be another great one to watch... "My prediction for next year is that whoever plays on Jonathan's right side will have a career year especially if he is a right handed shot." great, i will wait for the sioux line pairings to be revealed and pick whoever is on Toews right side
-
i think he has won every siouxperswing golf tourney i have played in..good golfer
-
hale and parise hopefully will be with the devils this season..hale will be a 5-6 d man while i think parise could center the 2nd or 3rd line.

i dont think this is news to anyone but i doubt most big time prospects go to the school of their choice because of academics. just my thought on the situation. take any big time program in any sport, hockey, football or basketball and the goal is to make it to the pros when attending a top notch program as a top notch recruit...in no way am i saying academics are not important to a kids choice, it may be in some cases but if we are Just referring to top prospects then they will end up at north dakota, minnesota, michigan or boston college because of the tradition and how they develop players for the next level... in dowzaks case, im sure there are a handful of players around the country that have this problem when it comes to academics, the easy alternative is the WHL and im sure he will develop just as he would if he would have came to UND. he is a big time talent and if he wanted he could have recieved help if he chose the college route but he didn't. he would have been a nice recruit for the sioux but now you just move on to the next big time d man recruit thats out there to replace smaby after this coming season (HOPEFULLY)

they could make some serious dough by putting out a legends set! i have the panzer bobble head and its a sweet sioux collectors item... i agree diggler should get a item, but not a b head, he should get one of those ducks with the players face on them

i have pics from opening night from the engelstad arena and the pics are almost identical..all non native americans chanting 1,2,3,4 do not use the name no more, very creative i might add....

i know this was posted but im going to finish out my thread here on all sioux draftees Andrew Kozek "Kozek is a proven, top scorer at his level,

long time mafiman!! whats up.........

espn will not cover more college hockey, thats why they have espnu...the sad thing is, the lower level shows on espn out draw the nhl like you state. they have to prove that the product will be much better and more exciting to get a major deal again in a few years!! comcast will never even come close to competing with espn, thats a joke, fox is the closest thing and they are a joke to espn as well....the OLN is best know for showing lance riding through the alps, this is not a ideal network deal but i guess you have to start somewhere when your starting from scratch..
-
great pics from the camp!!! you can change paukovichs profile from (denver, edmonton) to (goonville, i should stay at school because greene is waiting for me)
-
Diggler,i hate seeing #18 as well.....paukovich getting hit
-
i like pic # 6 of chorney, it reads, (denver, edmonton) to bad we lost him to denver good research by USCHO

i could care less how long a player stays as long as he gives it his all when hes at UND. if hes a elite talent then its great to see him play for the short time and develop to be a NHL player with the sioux. the main reason they choose elite programs is they are stepping stones for the NHL and also have the chance to earn a college degree for some. on the other hand we will always have the 4 year players as well but this is a new age in college hockey with early departures. there dream is the NHL as likewise with other top programs i the nation...a good mix is nice to have but i would not shy away from a parise or toews or kessel any day of the week. we will be fine this season. it will be a more uptempo team i believe with all the scoreres we recruited and jordy and phil will be busy in the nets
-
early departures happen to every elite program, as siouxnami said we reload, not rebuild...3 years to me is fine for a top talent considering 2 years is usually the normal in todays age...05/06 will be fun to watch and 06/07 and every year after that wil be fine....can't wait for this season to get going!

i went to the west regional 2 seasons ago when we lost to DU after outshooting them 1000 to 10....as you can see i have forgotten about this great game cc was ok, they did a crappy job promoting the regional so there were seats open everywhere so the atmospere sucked, but i would guess a true hockey weekend involving CC will be much better..im not sure on the bars all around as i hit up one right by the arena and drank before and after all games..i think i also hit up a chicagos pizza/bar which was downtown..pretty cool area... also the team stayed here at the Antlers Hilton http://www.hilton.com/en/hi/hotels/index.j...ctyhocn=COSCSHF heres a weblink for CC and any other school..have fun..may be out there as well!! http://www.chtg.net/cgi-bin/showschool.cgi...olorado+College

not if Mr. Finley has anything to say about that

i was just giving you a hard time. we will be scoring more goals this year in my mind and yes i think your correct, jordy and phil will be facing more shots but i am also very confident in them after last season and the experience they both have...either way greene will be missed but at least we got 3 very solid years from him!!
