no way i can't believe this. i did not see this coming congrats matt, we will miss you for sure. on and off the ice!! it was just a matter of time. our young guys will be thrown into the fire right away. lets move forward with smaby (hopefully) and the frosh and get this season rolling!!

does not look like toews scored today but maybe he added some assists..either way he had a great tourney and this kid is going to be fun to watch!!!

i do head to head in my league.12 regular season weeks, 3 playoff weeks...using total points to determine head to head winner for the weekend..points for goals,assists, hatrick..then points for team defenses on how many goals your team defenses give up...very simple but when your plugging in your own numbers you do not want to get to crazy

Toews named player of the game with 2 assists in 6-2 win over czech republic Canada played an outstanding first period being very physical and dominating the game. Goals by Marchand, Hamill and Calla put Canada up 3-0 after the opening frame. not a bad start for toews!!! CANADA'S UNDER-18s BEAT SWITZERLAND 5-3 BRECLAV, Czech Republic - Jonathan Toews scored twice and added an empty netter to complete the hat trick. Jonathan Bernier made 31 saves and was named the player of the game. Other goals scored by Zach Hamil and John Armstrong. The team played a Canadian style phyical game. The parents of McCrae, Chaput and Bodnarchuk were in attendance. Canada will play tomorrow at 4pm against Sweden.
