ive seen way worse CFB calls that didnt result in any injuries or werent called. its just bad luck with those the way you go into the boards sometimes minus the bina one. i highly doubt gergen meant to hurt chay as they played together at ssm. sucks he got hurt but something tells me he will be back for the ncaa tourney if possible!

im cheering for roseau and warroad to win their respective titles, i like the up north teams as a northerner myself

oh well. i think sioux fans should be used to that by now and personally couldnt care less not sure why so many sioux fans get bent out of shape if the logo isnt right in front or if the sioux logo is in the back of the screen with others in front of the sioux logo or the sioux arent talked about or recruits and so on and so on. im not referring to you dagies at all, just making a genearal comment as everything thats done or not done by minny announcers, sioux fans seem to get bent out of shape. i for one dont give a rip either way. we know our program and know what its about and plenty of people around the country know it as well. gorg is a tool though at the end of the day

it wasnt bad from the looks of it down in the lower bowl. pretty big arena to hold a regional really. the worst was when we lost 1-0 to du in the springs in 04 i think, pathetic but obviously if cc would have been in it would have been very good

he also did the interviews during the hobey baker ceramony last year when duncs won it. hes not bad. he must be a independetn broadaster as i was at a sports bar the other night late and they had bull riding on and he was the announcer multi talented!

if its at the kohl center i doubt that big place wont be full at all if sconnie isnt there. doesnt mean there wont be tons of sioux fans but nothing close to filling it

and thats garry buttmans fault. he should have begged espn to take them back for free after the lock out and he didnt. he went to versus and nbc which is what it is. espn didnt get much ratings from hockey anyways but i know they would have tried to help the nhl get it back to tv a few nights a week. the nhl needs to use what they have and thats crosby and ovechkin to market. its tough no matter what but the outdoor game doesnt do any harm so once of year isnt that big of a deal

well listening to sports radio here in az they did a segment on the game the week after and caller after caller called in and said it was the first game they every watched and loved it and since that game they actually made it over to a coyotes game so that to me is a good thing for hockey as i know you would agree with. its a gimmick without a doubt but i think once a year is a good thing to spice it up. the most important thing is the nhl getting attention and it did but it could have been way better if gary buttmen did it on a different day and not the biggest bowl day in history

agree, too late in the game to make that switch. i like playing marto at defense without a hesitation instead of moving radke and having miller and davidson playing everynight. let miller and davidson batle it out for that forward spot and keep the D the same with marto and lapoint in everynight til chay is back

if they get swept in 2 games yes or lose in 3 i say they are out. 2 losses will hurt them bad i believe sitting where they are as of today in pwr.

thats my take is the fans point, the nhl needs all the help they can get. next time make it crosby vs ovechkin and not on a day where other important sporting events like college football bowl games were going on you bonehead bettman!

yes they are a gimmick and once a year who cares. its cool because thats how you grow up playing when you are little. going to the riink outdoor, bundled up so thats the main point when seeing these games and its not like its overplayed. its a game per year.....and they switch in the middle of each period or in the third at the least mid period if theres a decent wind. if you played hockey as a youth as i did in berrrrrmidji on the lake, these are very cool and another reason i dont mind is it grabs the attention of big sports shows/networks as well and that cant hurt the game of hockey as its already so regional as it is. they may get a non hockey fan to sit in and watch the gimmick and may create a few more fans. i agree its a gimmick but a good one at that
