Sam Houston and Jacksonville State officially going the CUSA. One day schools will realize going "FBS" isn't not always greener on the other side.
Why try to win an actual Championship, when you can play on a Tuesday night in December in Mobile and lose money doing it.

According to the Fan Buzz website I searched on, the New Mexico bowl paid out about 1 Million dollars to Utah State a few years back for making the bowl game. Tulane got $750,000 for playing in the "Cure Bowl".
The lowest I saw was Georgia Southern getting 250 grand for playing in the "Cameila Bowl".
How much did we get paid to go be the whipping boys for the FBS schools?
You could definitely put me on the edge in this conversation. It would be cool to have a destination type bowl game every year, but you aren't winning a national championship ever again. Which, at the same time is the fate of all the other sports not named hockey at our institution.
Let's not forget the payout is used to pay for all the expenses of the trip, so the net is far less. Sending a team to New Mexico for 5 or 6 days plus staff is not a cheap endeavor.

I saw this was released a few months ago, thought it would be nice to share with the class
https://sports.usatoday.com/ncaa/finances/220978
Summary North Dakota is #112 in all of D1 with $28.6 million in revenue
NDSU is #113 as at $27.6 million

That is because most of our teams suck right now, across the board:
Our AD is practically invisible. Sometimes I forget we have one. And that is very concerning because:
VB: In the toilet.
WBB: In the toilet.
MBB: Barely beat Mayville Freaking State.
FB: Can't get out of their own way.
MH: Has potential, but is brutal to watch right now.
I think hockey has the best chance to turn into something special later in the year. And the basketball squads may end up being better than they look right now. But there aren't a lot of reasons to feel good about UND athletics right now. And that is very frustrating. And that does not make any of us psychos.
Soccer won 3 games this past season
Softball finished 17-33 in spring 2021

Wait we still have a men's basketball team? Does the athletic department know that too?

Delta has now delayed us for 3.5 hours in msp for no crew and no plane.
At that point, seems renting a car and driving (if heading to GF) would be just as fast.

Three things for certain..taxes, death, and UND hockey fans overreaction after any loss. It's a long season, still plenty of games to go.

No! Nashville natives hate these things. Clog up traffic, barely obey traffic rules, and just terrible. They may even be banned soon after a few serious incidents the past couple of weeks. One which involved a person dying after falling out and another had adult women flashing a middle school as it drove by.

HATTIE Bs < Princes if anyone wanting in the hot chicken game.

Completely anecdotal, but Nashville is my hometown and was excited to go but had to cancel a couple of months ago.
I posted tickets for free on my Facebook page and a couple of Nashville area sites and have yet to get any offers.
It seems the interest of the local game in Nashville is very minimal, but still be fun for those coming from afar!
FYI; Broadway is fun and all but Vanderbilt area, Germantown, and Midtown are where are the cool kids hang out
Also, hoping to not see any UND jerseys on the BroadwayUncensored2 Instagram page

Rumor mill has some western FCS schools joining CUSA.

People have been wanting a waterpark in Grand Forks for years (CanadInn doesn't count), well Fargo's is finally official

A lot of great thinks are happening in Grand Forks, but still a lack of major attraction indoor activity for those occasional winter days

Is he active or practice squad
Reading the release, it seems practice squad as they bumped up a WR from practice squad to roster

Personal connection to SIU, had a longterm high school girlfriend dump me for a guy that went to SIU to play baseball. I hated that place ever since that day.

Well, that just ruined my planned second half nap.

Damn..this game suddenly looking like a battle

Good end to a mostly unremarkable 1st half

QB1 for SIU is just playing backyard football and making UND foolish

Seems like a nice win, if the jobs go filled as promised (and pay more than $15/hr). Chinese based companies have a history of not fulfilling hiring promises. I see the company is getting a 20 year property tax break along with $100 million in infrastructure work, hopefully some bean counter has done the math. Hate to give away the farm, just to get a free gallon of milk.
