Question, why is everyone under the assumption that Sather is going to bench HIS guy Brady Danielson? Is he really going to go from a starter playing 30 minutes a game to being benched? I have a hard time believing Sather would do that to his guy.

I know Sueker got benched last year, but that was a much different situation than this one.

I don’t believe Brady will be a 30 minute per game guy this year. Maybe I’m wrong though.

    I hope they do

Maybe they can strike lightning in a bottle.

So If I had to guess starters and rotation (assume Ihenacho is a go here)

Starters:  King, Eaglestaff, Omot, Mayar, T

Bench: Ihenacho, Brooks, Brady, Amar, Mathews

That to me is a solid 10 man rotation.

Do you know how likely it is that Tyree will be eligible?

  3. They are somehow in first place with basically no production from Correa and very little from Buxton. I can’t believe I’m saying this, but I really like and believe in this starting rotation, but not the lineup.

If this organization had any balls, Wallner would be taking all of Kepler’s AB’s and Kepler wouldn’t be on the team. If Miranda can figure it out again in triple A again, he deserves another shot as well.

They can keep giving AB’s to guys that have had a long chance to prove themselves or platoon guys, or they can ride with Kiriloff/Larnach/Lewis/Wallner/Miranda(ifhe figures it out again) and give those young guys a long look. It would likely be ugly for a while, but can’t we worse than what’s happening right now.

Ideally, we will see improvement from last year to this from guys who played, and development and significant improvement from our redshirts and backups.  I would think safety is biggest concern cuz of the importance of needs in secondary. Should have guys who can step up at OLB. I like our RBs, can use another bruiser to improve our depth. We should be able to customize our offense to utilize the guys we have and still be very effective. When we need a blocker, we have a stable of TE’s and Q we can move around. Sometimes, we need to adjust our scheme to adapt to our strengths rather than stay with parts of our scheme with personnel that aren’t ideal.

I’m still worried about OLB. I hope you are right with guys stepping up and improving.

    Emilio Pagan again.....

Didn't play bad in Dodger stadium, some things didn't go their way.

I’m not one to blame games on umps but game 1 of the series was brutal.

Lopez and Duran should have both been available today since they didn’t pitch yesterday and surprised they didn’t go to Lopez to get that last out of the 7th.

Would it? Sure the guy is coming from Wisconsin, but when I tried to pull up the depth chart I didn't see him on it. I get it is Wisconsin and he is probably sitting behind some decent players but still. Looking at his career stats, I don't see anything that jumps out at me here. FBS dropdowns can be hit or miss like any other transfer. Obviously it would be great if he committed and it worked out and maybe it will, but there is nothing that makes me think this would be a guy to fill Hoosman's shoes. The Northern Michigan kid seemed to have proven more, and that would have been a bit more exciting to me.

But who know, sometimes it is just the right kid, in the right place with the right offense.

I have trust in Danny. If he likes this kid and thinks he can step in then I’m all for it.

Man they've had some ugly loses this year and gets added to the list, let it slip away

Really helps that the White Sox are really bad this year again. Guardians will be the only one to worry about and they have struggled a bit too.

Looks like no noon starts. Last 4 games all at 1pm.
Still earlier than I'd prefer but good compromise given the circumstances. Will be interesting to see if they adjust the hockey game times those weeks of the doubleheader or not.

Agreed. Would still prefer later but at least those games aren’t at noon.

Does DIII review every 5th play?

Not saying this is the right way to shorten games but games at the Alerus and elsewhere were getting too long.

The amount of pointless reviews at the Alerus last year was unreal.

Ohhh....but he hit a home run last night so that buys him a month right?

With Kirilloff coming back soon and Gallo playing well I hope he doesn’t get consistent at bats. Buxton will be DH’ing for a while I would think, with Kiriloff mainly at first and Gallo moving more to the outfield. Larnach has cooled off a bit but would also like to see him play consistently as well.

For those who know. Please explain what makes it simple means. Were we making late checks on defense for instance?

Maybe someone can explain better but with the late checks you are talking about, I feel like whenever a team went in motion or shifted against us we always scramble and have a tough time communicating.

Simplifying could mean a lot of things. Playing more man, or having simpler checks should make things easier. It will be less things for these players to remember when teams show different formations and motions.

Like the 360 guys said simpler=play faster and hopefully lead to more big plays.

Downloaded DraftKings and did Daily Fantasy Sports (DFS) for the past year.

Then I started listening to a podcast about sports betting.

Figured it was time to up my game.

But found out quick. To my dismay.

These apps won't let me do that because I live in ND.

ND will only let me lose money on how they see fit.

Undeterred, I just found an offshore gambling site.

This is partially why bitcoin blew up in the beginning.

ND losing a lot of money on this. Most people are finding a way to do it anyways.

The new uniforms are definitely different, they'll have to grow on me.

Kepler can't lead off right?  Right?

Think we've got our bullpen set nicely though.  Lopez, Jax, Thielbar, Duran.

I agree, don’t think Kepler can lead off. This lineup will look good with a healthy Polanco and Kiriloff, and eventually Royce will get another run when he’s healthy.
