Way too many seats available for this one. Hopefully the athletic department has something up their sleeve to help fill the Alerus!

Home opener - potato bowl - big time opponent and no local TV broadcast should  bring a near sell out I suspect.  As usual the walk up crowd will be big

Are Romfo and feeney walk ones or scholarship players

would be nice to see a break out QB that is way ahead of the others

when Q is in there the other team is pretty sure what’s going to happen

Ronfo was initially unless he earned one

    feeney is a scholarship

  3. Midco is said to be to televising road football games (conference only).  They will also be doing a handful of pregame hockey shows and post game shows from the Ralph corridor with fans !

  4. The city of GF and the park district are actively looking at the land on the south side of alerus for their new multi use indoor facility.  If this happens, you would expect restaurants and additional hotels to come along in this new entertainment corridor

  5. Just for kicks, here are the top 10 2023 players in ND according to Prep Hoops.  I believe most of them have college offers already and they just finished their junior year of HS!  Certainly one of the more  talented classes in HS basketball as of late

As ND1 said you nailed this. If Dissette could shoot like Eaglestaff watch out. As of now I see him as a Boden Skunberg type player.  He’s fantastic defensively right now and won’t make many mistakes.  Pretty much no downside with this offer.
I wasn’t terribly impressed with Erickson the 3 times I watched him play. But he’s 6’10” and those guys don’t come along often.

Dissette doesn’t seem to shoot all that great but is supper aggressive at taking it to the hoop and defense.  It’s crazy the amount of college talent in the 2023 class in ND.

Have seen the western ND guys play quite a bit - I think Dissette will be a very solid D1 guy.  Long, explosive and just a good player.  Probably wouldn't be a big scorer in college but a very solid player.  I don't think Doppler is athletic enough to play D1, strikes me as more of a middle D2 or NAIA guy.  Erikson has nice size (~6'8 240) but would be a project.

Very good assessment above. Erickson is best friends with eaglestaff.

I would give eaglestaff more credit than being here one year

a little early to be saying that, if that is the case why would he come in the first place

Maybe Archambeau will want to come here and play with him

Sorry not big on eaglestaff, I have watched him in AAU and high school.  He shoots a well uncontested 3 but doesn’t play defense.

Hate that they put the selection show on a channel that only about 11 people get.  Xfinity plus the regional sports package, plus ESPN+ does not include ESPNU.  Wtf?

It’s college hockey .. niche sport.  Outside of this region and players parents, it’s a nothing burger that’s draws no viewers

Yeah I mean there hasn’t been a whole lot of D1 local talent as of late. Would have been nice to land Grant Nelson or Skunberg. Hurlburt twins are are going P5. Eaglestaff will be huge.

At the recent Red River/Davies bb game, the entire coaching staff was there watching Klabo from Davies and Kraft from RR

Also use to have a lot of locals on the team. Where someone would know someone’s boy playing on the team

Agree, there is no local connection to the team.  That may change in the next year or two with some local talent in the area

Curious why he hasn't offered the Sem kid (So.) from North on a flier. Way better talent than Klabo (Fr.) from Davies who was offered by NDSU. Sem has some off the court issues but is better D1 prospect than 3/4 of the current roster.

Off the court issues is an understatement…. He has been suspended the last few games

Not to be a joker or anything but I am generally interested in where he lands. I do wish him the best and appreciated his time here at UND so that is why I am interested in where he lands.

I wouldn’t be surprised if he doesn’t play football again.  The deadline to enroll for the spring semester I assume is this week.  Without enrollment, he misses out on spring ball and that’s big for a D1 transfer. The problem with Otis is he was good but not great enough for teams to take a chance on.  Too much baggage for most teams to deal with.  Otis is a good kid but listened to the wrong people.  UND gave him a chance along with 25 carries a game, sorry another FCS team wont do this and he is not great enough for an FBS team to deal with.

  14. Good lord, just end this madness of testing everyone.  Within the last few weeks nearly every hockey and BB player at RR High School has been sick and out for a few days/games.  Guess what,  not one player was tested for Covid .  Did any of them have it, who knows maybe or maybe not.  Everyone survived and are healthy and playing once again.
