  1. The penalties were disastrous. Need to clean those up
  2. I have full confidence in this offense if every play wasn't the exact same play every down. I can only say this so many weeks and it sounds like whining. Play calling is horrendous. Run, run, shotgun, punt . O line needs to fix a few things and Keaton needs be better but Rudolph needs more then a one page playbook. Predictably is becoming very predictable. DCs job = easy.
  3. Every win this year will be becuse of the d!! The o line isn't the best but what would expect when every 1st and 2nd down is the same fuc$ing play every fuc@&ng down. Rudolph is bad!!!! Really bad!!!! Und is 10x the team that mont st is, and that's no disrespect to mont st. Rudolph makes the opposing team look good . Schmitt makes the opposing team look silly. Congrats to Schmitty
  4. Nah. Worst. OC. Ever.
  5. Does anyone have a bored 3rd grader out there that knows the slightest about football so we can give Rudolph a break......
  6. Offensively I hope to see this in the second half: 1st downs- santiago up the middle 2nd downs-santiago up the middle 3rd downs- shotgun for obvious pass Anybody know if Rudolph has page two in his playbook or maybe it's glued together from his excitement that he sees on page 1 ? Thank god for the d. When Unds d is on the field the majority of the time the opposing offenses will find some rhythm. Offense needs to sustain drives Hard to believe und is winning but I will gladly take it.
  7. Because the bobcat d knows it's coming up the middle 1st and 2nd downs! Easy pickings!
  8. Rudolph needs to have his ass hit the door. Sick of this shi$!!!
  9. Win the trenches and und wins. Simple. Und should be able to do that today. Not sold on mont st's d so keeping simplistic and predictable might be enough today? If predictable is not working, Rudolph needs to turn to page 2 in his playbook. Santiago big day d line and OLB big day Cloyd big day (opening holes) O line will look vastly improved ( competition and cloyd) und ruins their homecoming 31-20
  10. Rudolph's predictable offense will do much better against MSU. Not sold on mont st d being that much better then lat year as their competition has been weak thus far. Plus their d line is ravaged by injuries and it's game four for the o line combined with Santiago's abilities, secret weapon cloyd, sprinkle in some brady, und should do alright offensively. Sustain drives!!! Defensively und has cieslak and greer back, this is huge! If the offense can sustain drives and let the d get some breathers und will be fine. Und 31-20
  11. My complaint is the 1st half. It's the first half that und usually digs a hole for themselves. So there were 15 first downs in the first half for und: 12 of 15 times it was rush on 1st down(80%) only three of fifteen go for 7 yards or more , two of those immediately followed the first 1st down of the game which was a pass, big gains of 10 and 13. Und initially stunned usd with a 1st down pass. Made them defend the entire field. Not so predictable. The rest of the half was in par with his playbook. The half ended with 9 of the 11 first downs were runs, only one going over 7 yards or more. Five went for 2 yards or less. Most of which were Santiago up the middle. Predicatable USD does not have a good d. They were giving up 297 yards a game at a 7.1 ave against the rush (New Mexico and weber). If not so predictable, a home run hitter like santiago would of abused them for the tune of 250 yards even with a inexperienced line. I used 7 yards or more instead of your 4 yards simply because usd was giving up 7.1 through the two first games against so so competition. Santiago's abilities far exceed the play calling
  12. Wo wo wo!!! You said he was over rated, I said nothing like that. I said he had to tighten up his pass coverage a tad.
  13. Pretty sure most on here (including me) love the run control game. Its the continuous predictability that personally drives me crazy. This sums up the 1st half- run, run, shotgun, punt. Rinse and repeat. He has shown over the years that he is incapable of adjusting to what the opposing d is giving the o. He has a game plan and will not budge from that. Opposing defenses have caught on are lined up knowing damn well what's coming. The inexperienced o line can take some blame for the lousy offensive play but again, Randolph needs recognize his strengths and weaknesses and adjust his playbooks predictability. Ive been saying for time I believe the o line has talent and was giving them a four game cushion to gel. It's game four Saturday, will we see an improvement? I believe so. Add in a special talent with cloyd at TE along with weaker defenses the line will be ok.
  14. Agreed. Every player/person is different on what their "rah rah"speech or thing is but I've heard straight from the 3 horses mouths that bubba is contagious. I'm sure that there are some that maybe don't think so but like geaux said, it doesn't always have to be bubba or it could be a combination of coaches. Either way, in bubba we trust!!
  15. I would have to watch it again but I thought cole should have had the fullback as o brien had to contain the middle as either Rodgers or Bakker was on a blitz? I could be wrong. Maybe it was o briens man. Many beers by the point on Saturday.
  16. Alex cloyd should be a massive difference maker from this point forward. If he brings the same intensity that he brought to practice he will be opening holes and hopefully catching many balls. Watching Mathewson the first three games he has missed a ton of blocks that resulted in either a sack or negative rush yards. With that massive bandage on his arm his receiving skills simply are not there. Alex be an upgrade. Time to use the TEs Rudolph ! He is my sleeper against mont st.
  17. Hate writing this as cole is an absolute stud and a talent but he needs to tighten up his pass covering skills a tad. Had a int for a td=awsome, but had quite a few blown coverages in the sd game. Believe two tds were on him. Should be easily corrected in the film room.
  18. SFI reported that greer didn't play, any idea what the injury is? D line injuries are adding up cieslak greer engwall Baker and kemuel left in fall camp quality depth coming into play.
  19. I agree to a certain extent. But Rudolph calls the plays so i put 90% on him. When they stack 8 in the box and continues to send santiago up the middle he deserves the criticism. If the run was working that would be one thing but for the first 3 games it hasn't. The new inexperienced line can take blame but Rudolph needs to know how not to make is so predictable. How about using Studsrud strengths and roll him out, this is where is at his best. Do that on a first down as well, not only on 3rd. Studsrud is not a pocket qb. And use the damn TEs occasionally.
  20. Mont st sounds improved on d, Rudolph cannot dig us hole early in this game. Road game, big sky opener and a chance to get to .500, we need to grab the lead and sustain drives. Mont st will be expecting run plays on 1st and 2nd downs and will have 8 men on the line, this is where Rudolph needs to break comfort zone. If Rudolph calls a different game and the execution is there I really like our chances. The d will be fine if they are given a chance to rest. Und 24- 17
  21. Absolutely. He is a stud!! Noticed him in Bgsu game. First step is incredible, great instincts and more often then not he lays the wood . Always by the ball
  22. Defending Unds offense will be your d's easist assignment all year and you couldn't get it done. We have a kindergartner calling the plays. #15 is big and tough but a flat out bad passer. I believe he fits your up tempo style and will win you games this year however. Was it you that mentioned he would run effortlessly thorough und? If so, what is your thought on this? Goid luck to usd the rest of the year
  23. Real classy They might get their point across a little better if they protest at a march while holding up signs that read " sioux logos matter". At least they had some pride and left early
  24. Agreed. I would also like to add that it is not a law/rule to be quiet on 1st and 2nd downs in the alerus. People are allowed to make noise on those downs as well
  25. So one of the complaints or reasons from students is that they started 0-2 but easily could be 2-0 and HAD they started 2-0 would have the students been tearing the doors to get tickets and would they of been loud and crazy?? No. If they were 7-0 and top 5 team would it be better??? Doubt it. The team thrives off of the excitement of the crowd especially it's students. Us old people lose our voices in the first qtr, we need the young to help out. My throat still hurts
