I thought Wade Murphy was the king of practice that couldn't score in games, and was a late round pick but not in the first year of eligibility... O'Donnell was in a somewhat similar situation but stuck it out rather than bolt.

One of the other goalies in the AAPG game is committed to Omaha, so maybe he decided he wanted to go somewhere he knew he was gonna be the guy.

His comment that he gets in to position and shoots while everyone does the work sums up why he didn't pan out here. At CC he's a marquee player; at UND he was just another draft pick buried in the depth chart, so if he can't grind he sits. No hard feelings or anything, but that was an incredibly telling statement on his part.

I was looking at nchc.tv in order to renew, and while CBS Sports hasn't announced which games are on their network, there are a conspicuous amount of Friday games not listed. It's a safe bet those are the games they are broadcasting. Jan 25 Clown Feb 15 WMU Feb 22 Duluth Mar 1 CC -

Shannon Miller is trying to get even more money out of Duluth. Wow. Would love to hear a rationalization for this from one of her apologists. http://www.duluthnewstribune.com/news/crime-and-courts/4490409-shannon-miller-seeks-3-million-more-university-minnesota-duluth

Considering they took Nate Wells they are paying attention to college hockey, and he's.... not particularly skilled as a writer to put it nicely. -

Speaking of The Athletic, how long until they poach Schloss? Surprised he hasn't gone yet. -

That was because the Rangers signed him so he was no longer eligible. It sucked mainly because that year was the injury-plagued season. Gaarder scored in multiple frozen four games and had the double OT goal against Ferris though, he's a Sioux legend in my book. Will take that any day over a one and done.

Had this kid pegged as Michigan or BC. Did a double take to see if it was the same kid I was thinking of when word got out. Major recruiting coup. Hoping Schloss can get the list of other schools that offered when he interviews him. Rizzo was on our radar for a while (even before playing at Penticton), and it felt like only a matter of time until he committed. This was out of left field (for fans anyways). Wonder if Drake is upping our appeal in Toronto.

Eau Claire and Stevens Point are the only ones that would make sense. Maybe River Falls.

Now the question is, does their current arena merit a visit before they stop using it? Didn't look like anything special during broadcasts.

The potential paradigm shift any rational fan wanted to see. Let's hope it's the new rule and not an exception.

ACHA should start allowing CHL alum to play, it'll raise the competition level in their league and give CHL players more options.

Kristo signs in the SHL after an underwhelming season in the K.

Maybe he will pull a Wheeler/Hayes to avoid their franchise.

It's a somewhat old tweet but the U of O student manager is trying to elevate their program.

Not sure if it was already shared, but Cole Sillinger signed with Medicine Hat a little while ago. At least it means Bemidji won't get him...

That much more impressive on the coaching resume. Having dad on the bench likely makes it a career aspiration for both of the sons.
