Not that it's the best measure, but his junior stats aren't very good. we'll see how he does in juniors for the rest of the season I suppose.
-
They roughed him up a bit (especially near the end of regulation) but he's literally a man among boys in HS hockey, he should be able to handle it. For his sake, hopefully he's smarter than Donovan and spends a year in juniors before college.

Blake Biondi is going to fit right in with the diving at UMD. When the biggest and strongest guy out there is flopping, it doesn't bode well for when everybody is his size and caliber.

anyone to keep an eye on in the MN state tournament?

One of my favorite shirts is for the 2009 macnaughton cup. Nothing wrong with celebrating this milestone. Keep your eyes on the prize, but enjoy the ride. -
Not the account I expected to post it, but they are mad they don't have a slim chance at the Penrose I suppose.

https://www.usatoday.com/story/sports/ncaab/2020/02/29/coronavirus-national-college-players-association-asks-no-fans-ncaa-tournament/4914636002/ Likely to apply to hockey as well. Suddenly not getting a regional this year means much less.

No goal was the right call after the precedent set yesterday. Had yesterday's counted they would have counted tonight's. Western player was pushed downward, but he pops back up into Scheel. Onus is on him to arrest (ski term) and avoid further interference. Tough pill for them to swallow as that pretty much forces them to win the tournament to make it rather than receive a nice pairwise bump, but they aren't an easy out. That was a fun weekend of hockey, and could have gone their way either night.

Looks like Providence's Dugan doesn't care about the Hobey voters judging his demeanor:
-
his shovel/scoop/redirect is tough to defend on the power play. he's got plenty of space to go before his ceiling.
-
given their age and physical conditioning they have nothing to worry about.

Northeastern loses to Vermont and drops from 12 to 17 in PW. Ouch.
-
you can subscribe to nchc.tv for cheap for the remainder of the season.
-
Tychonick a healthy scratch again? would rather have him in at forward than at least two of our dressed forwards.
-
No actual college hockey media is saying anything about it. Someone played Bucci for the fool we all know him to be.
-
my bad, less sympathetic in that case.
-
Sad to see that we got him to decommit from ASU and then dropped him. Hope he finds success out east. Thought he might wind up at Concordia. Curious what happens to Costello and Reid at this point. EDIT: apparently Reid is committed to the university of no hardware.

High Point has a $60 million endowment. They shouldn't add D1 hockey even if they want to; they aren't in a financial position to build a successful team for the long term. The president saying that is undoubtedly a Kennedy type, using it as a stepping stone to a better gig.

End CC's season in the first round and the Poehling's season at the X.

Imagine how angry everyone on here would be if their Power Play wasn't a shadow of its former self and they'd scored the GWG after that dive.
-
There's a difference between helping prepare and working on a feasibility study. Illinois and Oakland (MI) are the only two that are public knowledge, there are rumors of others but it's been silent on that front for a while.
-
We have a new entry for the next embellishment video. acts like he's dead and then pops his head up to check for a raised hand.
-
Massacre 'em so we can look back at it as the Clown Town Beatdown. Hoping to hear some Let's Go Sioux chants on the broadcast.

4 went distance, 4 lost to the 16 seed. -
LA is the best of a snooze fest of cities there. Too bad the new Warriors arena in SF was designed as exclusively basketball. Vegas and Nashville were the two best choices.
