Its a recurring dig at d1979 for attending a school other than UND, yet he supports UND. It comes up here quite often. Has been said a number of times that only graduates of said schools should be fans/supporters. Like I said, it isn't a new bit. You think they'd be honest with someone that just calls them up? Because it was a classy sign and all, I'm sure they'd go right ahead and admit it was one of their's.

There's a group of guys from my hometown that are Team Makers and travel around the country to Bison football games in a pimped out coach bus. Some of them took a winter quarter or two at NDSU back in the 80's. A couple are VCSU grads. A couple more attended longer, and maybe even graduated from NDSU. Will let them know that only the graduates of NDSU matter to NDSU. The others... their money is not good there.

I wore mine to the Park Rapids - Pequot Lakes football game. My head was warm! lol

Have you watched College Gameday before? What you see on fans is not exclusive to the home team in the city they are in. There have been appearances previously of UND flags and apparel. Parties must be huge after the greatest event ever in North Dakota. And you're on a UND message board. Go cry somewhere else.

I don't get the pronunciation controversy. I went to high school in small town ND with some kids that went there and it was Bison, 's' sound.

Likely originated there anyway. Pretty sure they have a couple things the past few years to use as leverage in the recruiting battle with UND already.

Never said it was a fact. There also was no context in the comment in the chat. 500 in the last 10 years, as an example, is maybe not so excessive??

Someone posted on the live chat with GF Herald staff a week or so ago that UND had supposedly made upwards of 500 scholarship offers in recent years. If that is the truth, then where is the focus? That may answer your question regarding recruiting philosophy and would certainly indicate a level of panic.

Ahhhh,,,, Hammy's old "he wasn't going to play anyway" excuse. Isn't that the same thing said when a supposed "blue chip" recruit from the vaunted State of Hockey signs with another program?

Chris Forney is at Langley in the BCHL. Not sure where he would be as a prospect, though.
