AZSIOUX
And Oshie might not play every shift (he's sick), so I have a feeling things are going to get juggled around all night. so far oshie has been a gamer, every shift, PP and PK. WiSioux
Marc Chorney interview: This is a beautiful rink, oldest rink in the U.S... Surprised there aren't more people here, lot quieter crowd tonight. Twice/three times the crowd for a normal Northeastern game. NE came out flying, everyone is excited to play UND, even more when they are #1. They are playing 100% every shift, we're having some penalty trouble this period. Phil has made some big saves.... we keep giving NE chances, it's only going to be a matter of time. They call it tighter in this league, will be a lot of PP situations... the team that wins those battles will win the game. Philosophy on 2 ref system in college - we should try to emulate the NHL game in college, the players will adjust. If the refs are consistant the players figure out quick what they can and cannot do. In the WCHA the refs are all over the board and it's frusturating. We just need the refs to be consistant so that the players know what to expect. WCHA needs to develop more refs. Toews' goal last night was the "nicest goal he's ever seen at any level" it was like a man amongst boys. We around two defensemen and the goalies, made it look easy... didn't realize at first that it was Toews. He loves school, GF, and UND... if he had his choice he could have stayed at school but he was ready to move on. He'll have a long NHL career with many records and accolades. Great ambassador for UND. As a parent you worry about injuries. You can tell when they're having a good game or a bad game. When Taylor isn't doing well i'm not doing well. You have to realize that they're kids and they make mistakes. But at the end of the day they're kids.... If it ends tomorrow we've had a good three years, and before that. Edmonton really wanted him to go, I really wanted him to come back. It didn't take him long after the national championship to decide he wanted to come back. Defense is different than forward in the NHL. I wanted him to get three years of school, graduating is important to him and to us. Everyone has to evaluate their own situation. Freshman year being an 8th place team to a 1st place team the next year was amazing. We had a good freshman class... but you have to credit it to Gino. Comes down to leadership. It was a war every day in practice. You play like you practice. You can't develop bad habits in practice.
