homer Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 The D has made really big plays when it has had to. Lets go offense. Take advantage. I should say lets finish a drive. We've moved it, now lets finish one. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 Dressler takes the punt at the 12 and is hit immediately. 5:12 left in the game. This game alone is why I grow my nails for a month beforehand! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 The D has made really big plays when it has had to. Lets go offense. Take advantage. The Offense's failures to convert at times has really been the difference in this game. You know UNO is going to score points, so the defense just has to do the best they can, which they have. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 1st and 10. Freund throws an incomplete pass. 2nd and 10. Freund to Dressler to the 20. 3rd and 5. Freund to Dressler, but hit right away. That possession sucked! Have to punt. Quote
homer Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 That is not what we wanted. Time for the D to step up again. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 That is not what we wanted. Time for the D to step up again. The problem is that UNO is going to run it right at us, so the D needs to stop the run. Fair catch for UNO. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 1st and 10 for UNO at their own 43. 3:43 left. McNeill runs to the 50. 2nd and 3. McNeill runs for a short gain. Just short of the first. 3rd and inches. Miller gets the first. Lost his helmet for the 3rd time today. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 1st and 10. Miller bootlegs and runs to the 39. 2nd and 3. McNeill runs for a touchdown. XP good. 28-17, UNO. Quote
homer Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Ball game. Time to get back to work tomorrow, watch tape and correct the problems. Definately not our best game. They made some plays when they had to, I don't want to take any credit from them at all. There's a reason they are number one in the region. A lot of missed opportunities to put some points up and we missed them. Some of it was them and some of it was us. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 Sorbo gets the kickoff at UND 36. Quote

Siouxdonyms Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 Well, it looks like it's pretty much over for today. Sioux have next weekend off, and need to win the rest of the schedule to put themselves in good position for the playoffs. We've been in this position before, and can always get another shot at UNO. Field goal no good. Hats off to UNO today, and to UND defense. Offense needed to convert more, and left too many points on the field. Quote

Siouxdonyms Posted October 13, 2007 Author Posted October 13, 2007 I second that. Thanks Siouxdonyms. Dan and Tony better look out. I'd suck at football. Now hockey.....nah, I'd be too much of a homer and freak out every time the Sioux scored! Quote
jimdahl Posted October 13, 2007 Posted October 13, 2007 Ugh. Of 6 losses in the Alerus, ever, 3 are to UNO. Unless we see you in the playoffs, farewell, UNO -- you've always been a game to look forward to (if perhaps with some apprehension) Quote
