JESUS,family, rutgers
The NCAA apparently is going to go through with the so-called "Rutgers rule." Colleges will no longer be able to hold football camps for kids(even if they are free) outside of their own state or if out-of-state, more than 50 miles from the institution's campus. Schools in the SEC and ACC complained to the NCAA because Coach Schiano has been holding football camps for thousands of children in Florida for several years. The camps were either free or a small fee of about $15 to cover food,T-shirts,insurance etc. Any child could attend--it wasn't just for upcoming recruits. SiouxPride0303
Lame...lets take away a great chance for our student athletes to have a positive impact on a child. Especially a child that may not ever get that chance again.

They'd better leave the "allowed in-state" rule in place. If not, UND's recent moves to bring sports camps to Spirit Lake Reservation (90 miles) at Devils Lake, ND, would be a violation of NCAA rules. Then again, Spirit Lake is a "separate nation". Does the rule cover "international camps".
The Sicatoka
With this the NCAA shows again that although it talks a great "all about student-athletes" game it's really all about one and only one thing: The Benjamins.
