PCM Posted October 3, 2006 Posted October 3, 2006 It's not the "poking a little fun of", it's the obsession with buying HC merchandise. Must be hockey season. Quote

I also bought a Goldie stuffed doll. Does that mean I have an 'obsession' with buying MNtc merchandise?? Ok, so I put a green and white noose around Goldies' neck and green stars over his eys, I still bought it. Quote

He's a Gopher fan that doesn't realize that one of the reasons why fans in this area bought Holy Cross memorabilia is because it provoked such a strong response from Gopher fans. If Gopher fans ignored the whole thing (meaning, no posts on it at all or maybe a ha ha post), I don't know if it would have been quite as popular as it turned out to be. Even so, whether Minnesota likes to admit it or not, it is a pretty historical event for Holy Cross, Atlantic Hockey, and perhaps even the NCAA Regionals. True David vs. Goliath stories tend to sell even outside the sporting venue. Quote
