Sioux_Hab-it Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 I didn't see it as being a hit from behind. The guy was off balanced as he was shooting the puck, and did go into the boards hard, but the BU guy did hit him shoulder to shoulder. IMO, if the guy was another foot closer to the boards, it could have been a boarding call. I guess we disagree sometimes but you can't tell me that if the hitter had been in Kelly Green he wouldn't have got a five and Game Misconduct for that one. Quote

I agree that it probably would have been a penalty if any other leagues ref were reffing the game, and probably a penalty as well, if the Sioux had laid the hit. Quote
dagies Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 BU, 5-2. dangit, in my office pool I picked a 6 goals/game average for one of the tie breakers. This is already starting out on the wrong foot. Quote
SiouxMD Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 If you can get streaming video, you can watch the game here: http://ne.cn8.tv/channel/article.as...subhead=cn8live That link did not work for me...but this one did. http://ne.cn8.tv/channel/article.asp?lArti...subhead=cn8live Dang it...for some reason the link (very long) keeps showing up with "..." in the middle making it invalid. Try this one...take out the spaces. http://ne.cn8.tv/channel/ article.asp?lArticleID= 4665&lChannelID= 644&subhead= cn8live Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 BU, 6-2. Higgins with a hat trick, all in the 2nd period. Quote
Ray77 Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Geez...you'd think that UNO might have wanted to show up for their first ever NCAA tournament game. Quote
NDFAN Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Wow, the feed is really good. But the size of the picture is just a bit larger than a credit card. Audio is good. Wait, i just figured out how to make it full screen! But things are blurry. Quote

dallassiouxfan Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Is that Melrose with the commentary? Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 Is that Melrose as the color announcer? blurry hockey > no hockey That would be Barry! Quote
dallassiouxfan Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Is that Melrose with the commentary? Now that is just weird...... Quote
Sioux_Hab-it Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 BU, 7-2. This one may be over. It must be tough for the St Clown and Pie players to accept that UNO is in this tournament over their respective teams. UNO doesn't appear to be capable of physical play so I am left wondering how they managed to come up with the record they did. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 UNO goalie goes down to his knees everytime play comes near him. BU figured that out early in the 2nd, and have went high the rest of the night. Quote
dallassiouxfan Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 It would be nice to see the Sioux get 6 goals tonight, let alone in just one period. Quote
Ray77 Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 Shots are 26 - 12 and they have scoring chances at 11 - 3, both in favor of BU. Thanks for showing up, UNO. Have a safe flight home! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted March 24, 2006 Author Posted March 24, 2006 Higgins 5-11 165 And a freshman! Quote
NDFAN Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 And a freshman! I think the coach will introduce him to the weight room Quote
PCM Posted March 24, 2006 Posted March 24, 2006 The arena at REA is looking very beautiful tonight. The Gophers and the Crusaders are on the ice warming up. This is going to be great! PCM, reporting live from Ralph Engelstad Arena. Quote
