Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Gophers take an interference call (Irmen). 4 on 3 PP for the Sioux. Need a goal! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Sioux showing that they have practice passing drills in practice on the PP. Quote
redwing77 Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 A beautiful 4 on 5 PP for the Gophers. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Too many passes on the PP lead to nothing again. Quote
dakotadan Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 It is really sad that minnesota just got more shots on goal than we did during our own power play. Quote
SFSIOUX#1 Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 This is embarassing - we have only 4 shots on net. WTF - did the whole team play at the WJC's... Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Other than Lammy, I don't know if any Sioux player is standing out. Someone needs to step up on this team. Quote
redwing77 Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Toews had a decent chance all tied up. I wish we could get something going. 5 shots on goal just isn't going to cut it. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 FSN Gomers comment that "Stafford hasn't been seen yet in this game." I hate it when I have to agree with Woog! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Ooh, here's something a new. A checking from behind penalty on Foyt. Sad that we lead the league in this area after what happened to Bina. Quote
SFSIOUX#1 Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 And just when you thought it couldn't get any worse... Quote
redwing77 Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Foyt with a 5 minute major. Hear that? Another nail goes in the coffin. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Woog reminds us that he's a moron on the trivia question. Last team to get more than 50 shots on the Gophers. For as long as I've watched Gopher games, the answer to the trivia questions has always been one of the two teams playing, so the obvious answer is North Dakota. Woog mutters..."CC?" By the way, it was '97 Sioux team. Quote
GBpakrzz Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 This is a sad display of Sioux hockey. It's pretty clear who the better hockey team is and they aren't wearing green. Quote
NMsioux Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 First post on this site....and I am doing so as I am a very concerned and frustrated Sioux fan over the progression of hockey up there at UND. For 2 seasons now, the sioux hockey time has started apathetically slow, with only the might and tenacity of last years' seniors stepping forward to save the season....and lead us to the national championship game. This year, though a very young team, are just plain getting out played....and maybe even out coached. Last years Minnesota team was as equally as young as our Sioux team is this year, but year in and year out Gophers coaching staff somehow is able to get them to play. Not sure why this years Sioux team is having problems clicking...The last power play was awful! No cycling was occuring up top, everyone was standing still, and they are again, just being out played....For crying outloud they have almost 30 shots. Now look....a major penalty! Simply, out played and out coached at the moment. I do hope that the season can be turned around....b/c we have some of the best talent in the league on this team....SO COME ON ALREADY!!! Maybe Im overreacting, but boy it's just so frustrating watching these guys right now. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Puck not frozen, but the Gophers get the whistle. Okay, it was frozen for about a second, if that. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 FAbian scores a backhander!!!! 2-1! Quote
redwing77 Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 FABIAN SCORES!!!! SOMEONE DECIDED TO PLAY HOCKEY!!!!! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 My first comment on the rush was..."Oh great, it's Prpich!" Glad he passed! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 14, 2006 Author Posted January 14, 2006 Potulny scores! I hate that guy! Quote
redwing77 Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 Fabian's goal is nice but now it's worthless. 3-1 Quote
cheppi Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 How about that power kill Hopefully it sparks another crap, gophers score Quote
Sioux_Hab-it Posted January 14, 2006 Posted January 14, 2006 How is that the team can play with the required urgency when we are down a player. Way to go Fabian. Quote
