Tsiouxnami Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Geez, sounds like US is getting some nice chances! If that darn Rask would just quit getting in the way this thing could be blown wide open!! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Hooking call on Davis for the US. Finland PP. Let's go PK! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Oshie takes a penalty, but Schremp is serving it for Oshie, who apparently was injured on the play. Let's hope Oshie gets back in the game real quick! Quote
AZSIOUX Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 im watching the game at work here, oshie went down and is a little banged up on the bench on that last penalty. looks like he headed to the locker room. Quote
Tsiouxnami Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Oshie takes a penalty, but Schremp is serving it for Oshie, who apparently was injured on the play. Let's hope Oshie gets back in the game real quick! Oh, oh. . . . doesn't sound good. Oshie being HELPED to the US lockerroom. Hope it isn't anything serious!! Quote
Tsiouxnami Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Judging by crowd's reaction, we have a tie game. 1-1 YIKES! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Finlands scores again to take a 2-1 lead. Let's go USA! Quote
Tsiouxnami Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 US better settle things down a bit and stay out of the box - Finland is putting some serious pressure on. Oops, crowd reaction again. Guess Finland is up 2-1. Come on guys, let's get going!!! Quote
Tsiouxnami Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Video replay - let's hope it was kicked in!! Doesn't sound like it though from the announcers view. Quote
Tsiouxnami Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Gerbe draws penalty late in 2nd period. Let's hope we can tie this thing up and give Finland something to think about over the break! Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 End of the 2nd period. 2-1 Finland. US needs to start the 3rd out with fire, and play better than they've played in any other 3rd period in this tournament. Quote
jk Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Oh well isn't that just lovely. Oshie won't return in this game, according to Rich. Just over a period left in the whole tournament and he gets hurt. Quote
dagies Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Oh well isn't that just lovely. Oshie won't return in this game, according to Rich. Just over a period left in the whole tournament and he gets hurt. Unreal. Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Jack Johnson scores to tie it 2-2. Canadians have to love that one! Quote
Tsiouxnami Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Jack Johnson has tied this game - that should shut the crowd up! (Or make them boo him even more?) Quote
jk Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 4-2 Finland with about 4 minutes to go. SOG are 47-38 Finland. Quote
DIEHARD SIOUX FAN Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 I can't believe it, I was there last year when they lost, please don't let it happen again. I'm sick of those Canadian fans also. But I did get my fill of them last year, oh no, another goal. Quote
jk Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Mueller ejected for elbowing. Maybe not ejected, maybe 2 and 10. That'll help get the team back into the game. What a lousy tournament this turned into for the US. The big thing now is to hope Oshie's OK. Quote
THETRIOUXPER Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 Well the hopes of a medal seem to be dwindling, any update about TJ from those who are watching or listening to the game? Quote
Siouxdonyms Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 3rd periods killed us in this tournament. I don't know what it was, but I don't know if we really had one good 3rd period throughout this tournament. It's frustrating, but we'll have to deal with it and move on. Let's hope for better luck next year! Quote
jk Posted January 5, 2006 Posted January 5, 2006 I haven't heard any mention of his status since the start of the period. All they said was that he wouldn't return for the remainder of the game. Remember the passion of that Parise/Stuart led team? Where did that go? Quote
