dunker2001
Wow. 5-0.... UMD got good, overnight. <{POST_SNAPBACK}> Mason is a moron...it was hit in with a high stick and even with replay he still got it wrong...what a moron.

~hockey~
From the TV replay, it did look like it started out as a high stick...but when it went in I guess it was below the crossbar? Is that the argument?
Smoggy
With UM-Lowell sweeping BC, the Sioux are really hurting now in the PWR without the bonus. We've dropped to 13th. I'm not sure how much winning tonight will do for us moving, but next weekend against UW will be huge.

~hockey~
Now they said that he didn't tip it in, so therefore it is not a high stick?? Crazy
UMDDogz
Now they said that he didn't tip it in, so therefore it is not a high stick?? Crazy <{POST_SNAPBACK}> It was clearly tipped on the replay. Notice however that there was no replay malfunction on UMD's 2 reviewed goals. Then again if Mason didn't overturn the call on the high stick...he probably would not have done so on last nights goaltender interference/man in the crease call that let DU back in the game last night. siouxnami
BTW, last night while out for pizza, I got to watch a good game on FSN: UND vs. MN at the X...granted it was a repeat, but still good hockey. WPoS <{POST_SNAPBACK}> WPOS, I watched that game as well. This was the first time that I had seen that game as I was in attendance. Despite the unfavorable outcome for UND, I do have to say that was one of the best games I ever saw. Both teams played awesome. I thought the Sioux had the game won when Bucks undressed Ballard and Briggs, but it was not to be. Easily the best final 5 game I have seen. The UND vs. SCSU final in 2000 would have been close, if the game had not ended on a BS call in OT. I remember standing at the UM vs. UND game last year and thinking through out that this was one of the most exciting games I had ever seen. I am excited for the F5 again this year. I hope the Gophs and Sioux are both there, as those teams are far and away the best represented by fans.
schmidtdoggydog
That thug from Denver, Puakovich, scores a goal late and afterward throws a punch and then gets schooled by the Bulldog. It wasn't a fight in the typical sense, but he was taken down and worked over a bit. He was escorted to penalty box wanting more . . . Pakovich was tough once he got up.
schmidtdoggydog
He was doing the point-at-the-scoreboard act during the Friday night game at REA. I believe that is what got Schneider all fired up.
UMDDogz
Great win for the Dogs. 6-3 (two late meaningless goals) over the #1 team in the country. I just don't understand this team and how they can do so well one night/weekend, and do so s&!tty the next night.
