Right now, Kessel, according to USCHO, has narrowed his list down to Wisco and Minny.  However, I've seen references to him going to Michigan, BU, and UND.

You can find snippets somewhere that suggest Minnesota, Wisconsin, Michigan, or BU is in the lead for Kessel. You can be sure he WON'T be coming to UND as he declined an official visit.

The 'decline' may not mean anything, either.  He just spent two weeks at the Ralph and Grand Forks.  Why visit again?

I'd think that the opportunity to play hockey in the Phantom Assist Capital of the World would have a lot of appeal to any offensive-minded player. :glare:

TH: Lucia was using it as an excuse for Minnesota being swept at home by CC. The Gophers have always complained about their players going to the world juniors. Either they don't play enough or they play too much. Woog wouldn't let his players go to the tournament. Lucia should just tell his players that they can't go and the Gophers should put it in their recruiting book.

Gotta love the ripping on Donnie "Crap-Sack" Lucifer by Tim! :glare:

Woog had at last one player on the U.S. junior team in every year except 1992.....that would be 1986 through 1999. He also had three players on the 94 U.S. olympic team.

Here's a few of Lucia's excuses from this past weekend (from the star tribune):

"Justice was served," Gophers coach Don Lucia said. "The team that should have won the game won. They were the better team. They played hungry and dictated the game."

"They were the better team this weekend," Gophers coach Don Lucia said. "They deserve to be the No. 1 team in the country."

"There are a lot of ups and downs in every season," Lucia said. "Right now we're in a down period. It is a chore for us to score. Hopefully we can be better next weekend.

Skippy you left out Lucy's comments about Hags and his injury as it pertained to WJR

<{POST_SNAPBACK}>

From the strib: Hagemo's injury is tied to a neck injury he suffered Oct. 29 that kept him out of three games. "He was in good shape until he went to the World Junior Championship," coach Don Lucia said, "when he played a lot of games in a short period. We can't have this be an ongoing issue. We have to get him to where he isn't in pain at the end of a game."

And that is an excuse for the CC sweep how?
