Anyone know if Spirko is young enough to play in this year's WJC tourney? I know he's played in at least one, if not two, WJC's for Slovakia, would be nice to see him in there this year also.

He's played in two. And I highly doubt he's eligible for a third.

Thanks, already 20, so no, he's too old. Sioux can now be a a team of 25 year old Slovakians (Happy's world)

Interesting story on Spirko (aka Sparky) in the Herald today. It's nice to see his unbiased family advisor helped Spirko make the right choice for college.

His family adviser also steered him to UND, Spirko said.

"He told me this place is best for me," Spirko said.

His adviser? Winnipeg's Frank Kollar, a Slovakia native who is the father of former Sioux goalie Andy Kollar.

Atleast when you talk to Spirko, you can tell the 'lights are on'.
