SiouxMeNow Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 If you wondered why John B sucked last week against Delta...strained lat muscle on his throwing arm. The coaching staff kept a lid on it before the game (although Belmore was ready to come in there if needed) Belmore had the start this week vs. Mesa locked up early but no one noticed at practice this week. Kudos to Chris on a great debut!! You could almost seem his nerves evaporate after the first completion against Mesa - from there he chopped them up like liver on a plate. That bodes well for UND in QB depth!! ALSO - congrats to Drew T on his first TD!!! Rog was absolutely beaming after the game!! Quote

PCM Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 apparently everyone but you missed that PCM... So what was the mystery that you solved? Quote
SiouxMeNow Posted September 5, 2004 Author Posted September 5, 2004 never heard one word about JB's injury before tonight...where were you with the scoop? Just answering the many about JB's shaky debut this season which I never heard a plausible answer on this forum before now. Don't worry...not trying to usurp you as the scoopmaster of Siouxsports...just putting up what I learned asap...like a reporter sorry Quote

sprig Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 They talked about that injury on the pre-game show before the Delta State game. None of us out of radio range got the pregame show, since the audio stream has yet to work this year (down again yesterday). First I heard about this was when the 3 Sioux broadcasters had an open mic (on dataflix) prior to yesterday's game. They were trying to decide what they should and should not say about the injury. BigGame Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 It was news to me until someone mentioned it is a post right before gametime. Quote
PCM Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 I have this weird idea that when I hear something on the radio, I assume that I'm not the only person in the world listening. How am I supposed to know what others are hearing or not hearing? The fact is, Bownkamp's injury was discussed on the air before last weekend's Delta State game. Also, I was listening to the radio yesterday during the game when Dan Hammer gave the reason that Belmore was starting instead of Bowenkamp. Sorry to get so many panties in a bunch. Quote
sprig Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 Sorry to get so many panties in a bunch. No bunched panties, no GF radio, and no audio stream. Outside the GF radio and TV area we have been, once again, cut off from Sioux sports, until someone gets the audio going again. Seems to be a reoccurring theme each new season. Quote
spfreak Posted September 5, 2004 Posted September 5, 2004 According to JBs roommate he has a swollen throwing arm, not a lat strain or pull or whatever. Quote
