nodak651 Posted November 21, 2018 Posted November 21, 2018 http://volleytalk.proboards.com/thread/75651/bracketology-11-21?q=denver Looks like the Summit could potentially be a two bid league this year, with Denver losing to South Dakota in the conference tourney. Impressive for the Summit if this happens. I know Pryor talked about this a lot when we were in the Big Sky, and he was always hoping that that could happen when we were over in that league. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted November 22, 2018 Posted November 22, 2018 Will be interesting who wins the MVC tournament. UNI and Illinois St are both ranked near Denver, but the MVC has more status as it used to contain Wichita St and Creighton. SDSU and Western Illinois really stank up the Summit power ratings though, and UND wasn’t that much better. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted November 26, 2018 Posted November 26, 2018 Both USD and Denver made the NCAA tournament, so the Summit actually got an at large bid. https://www.ncaa.com/brackets/volleyball-women/d1/2018 USD got a 9th seeded Creighton and Denver got Utah. Stanford, Minnesota, Illinois and BYU were the top four seeds, so the Summit teams were not an immediate sacrificial offering. The MVC also got two in;with UNI and Illinois St. The two bids is a major victory for The Summit League and for recruiting. Get rid of W Illinois now and add the Montanas and Idaho. 1 Quote

That is incredible!! I never thought that would happen, but even more shocking is that UND wasn’t good enough to be one of the two. Quote
SiouxVolley Posted November 30, 2018 Posted November 30, 2018 Many of the power teams have players 6’6” or greater. http://www.espn.com/espnw/sports/article/25408085/ncaa-volleyball-tournament-how-many-players-6-foot-6-do-see Quote
