SiouxFanInBoston
I've lived in Boston now since '88 and really just love it. I love being able to walk everywhere, and on days like Marathon Monday (Patriots Day) when the Boston Marathon is run, or when the Sox are playing the Yankees in town, or when the Boston Pops are performing at the Hatch Shell on the 4th of July nothing is better or more "Boston." The rich history here is also second to none -- in my opinion, at least. Now if we could just teach everyone how to be friendly like North Dakotans (and teach them all how to drive ... and talk), we'd be in business. I'm also loving the smoking ban here, too -- although I know that's a hot topic for many. I was at the Frozen Four this year, but was feeling under the weather (flu/fever) so didn't stay out much to meet many of you who were in town. I wish so much that that hadn't happened (plus, I had just had all 4 wisdom teeth pulled 5 days earlier). I've enjoyed reading about where you all went and what your experiences were. It's always interesting for me to wear my Sioux jersey here because everyone assumes I still live in North Dakota (I took a few jabs from fans supporting other schools -- "Bought your tickets early, huh?"). I love being from ND and wouldn't trade that heritage for the world. I was lucky enough to be sitting a row behind other Sioux fans during the games and had a great time visiting. (Others in the near vicinity also yelled the signature "Home of the Sioux!" at the end of the National Anthem, which I thought was fun -- it was hard not watching the Sioux skate around after that, though....) An Ohio State fan did tell me that one of the attractions in Columbus is that it's the home of the "Original" Wendy's ... Hmmm.
dagies
Now what the heck is there to do in Columbus? I'll bet there's no Mother Anna's.

I agree with what you said. I lived out there in 1988-1990 and Boston rocks as a city, there is tons of stuff to do. Lots of history and many neat things to do that don't cost anything. I have never seen the new Fleece center, but hope some day to come back to Boston and check out it out.

SiouxFanInBoston
I know what you mean (about being amazed at how many people all over the place seem to know and appreciate the Sioux). I wore a 2000 NCAA Sioux Hockey Championship T-shirt into a Ben & Jerry's on Newbury Street once, and the guy behind the counter gave me a free ice cream cone. I also saw someone walking up the stairs in Section 37 of the bleachers a week and a half ago at Fenway Park (Sox/Yankees) wearing a "Sioux Football" T-Shirt. I was one of the ones yelling, "Go Sioux!"
