Radio Deal?

After Blais is fired, maybe Tim will go broadcast the games for the team CB is hired by. :)

For what it is worth, Hennessy worked for KCNN when Clear Channel won the rights to the broadcasts the last time they were up, as did Scott Swygman. He'll call the Sioux games until he doesn't want to anymore.

Real mature. I never said he should get fired. Way to keep to the subject. :D

From what I hear, WDAZ/FSSN is going to show more away games next year. Some day, they may actually show all of the away games. I think TH could cover the radio and TV broadcasts. I think he describes the game very well, and it would carry over well on both formats. He currently looks at replays when they are available, so it isn't like he would be doing anything different for the radio listener. That being said, I'm curious what he meant about the radio deal. I would think Clear Channel could afford to get the rights, but are they already up for negotiation again? I didn't think they were, which is why I was curious if anyone knows what is going on. PCM? Anyone?

I'd be curious too as to the status of the radio rights...Clearchannel is the 400 lb. Gorilla in this deal - too much money - too many stations to put the Sioux on in ND (but that's ok - the more exposure the better for UND). I frankly can't think of anyone who could be competitive with them. Leighton Broadcasting (KNOX, KCNN, et al) can't put up the money, provide the talent, or give UND the network UND has grown accustomed too...hopely they'll take a shot though. Clearchannel could get a VERY sweet deal if there's no competition...
