Restone
Seems strange to see UND alums getting mumps, I'm wondering if there is an effort to vaccinate players ion the team?
UNDBIZ
Pretty sure UND requires on-campus students to have received the MMR (mumps, measles, rubella) vaccine. According to the CDC, the vaccine is only 88% effective in preventing mumps. https://www.cdc.gov/mumps/vaccination.html
Cratter
I remember getting my vaccines up to date before I could go to UND.
runaroundsioux
Parise got a mumps vaccine booster in 2014 when mumps last swept through the NHL. Still got mumps.

A lot of people think vaccines for virus' are basically 100% effective, which isn't true. The flu vaccine is even worse. Pretty sure it's below 50% effective because the vaccination is only for the known/common strains and there are constantly new strains of the flu virus
