SiouxVolley Posted May 7, 2016 Posted May 7, 2016 Saw that Melbourne Florida is going to build a rink for that same Southern minor league. Has UWF ever looked into sponsoring varsity hockey at DI? UWF, FIT in Melbourne, and FGCU in Fort Myers could be the beginning of a college league. Add UAH and two others. Pensacola would likely support DI hockey, as the have supported the IceFlyers (weren't they the Pilots in the ECHL) for years. Quote

They will have their inaugural season of football this year, which will be played downtown at Blue Wahoo stadium until they get their football stadium built on campus. Football is king in the south. The UWF faculty that I know are not too pleased that the outgoing president pushed football through. Quote
