sprig
Warmup is on dataflix right now. Looks like they got in tonight.
morley
I got the Denver series, and the feed was pretty good, a little laggy at times, but this just sucks. Everything is yellow, and you can't even see the puck
REA Tech
People using the web cast must realize that were using the internet. Which keeps the cost low for each customer..? **IF** the internet works perfectly there will be no lagging. Denver
Fedorov
Did you guys pay your money perfectly, or did it have lag?
siouxbear1
Well I have just donated another $8.95 to Dataflix...program sucks! All I got was a green screen. Should have invested my money in the lottery -- would have been the same thing!

U2Bad1
Also.. before the season when the dataflix idea was first introduced there was an REA guy who came on here promoting the product. He said that they would adjust the bandwidth accordingly for the amount of people who purchase the game. I have had a problem with pretty much every game (and I guarantee the problem isnt on my end). Tonight's game was the rule not the exception.
sagard
Live or very close to live video over today's internet is a very difficult thing to pull off. Heck even simply voice over IP can be challenging as well. The bandwidth problem is not likely at the sight that hosts the Dataflix Webcasting servers, but if any link (potentially the ISP to ISP links) between the user and the Webcasting server is congested, problems will surface. The biggest problem I see with the service is that they made no download to disk option available. I realize that could lead to some file sharing problems, but it would still have created happier paying customers and likely more of them. I would have gladly payed $8.95 for some Sioux games had downloading been available, and I'm a Gopher fan.

sf340flier
Hello all, I have a great download speed with my broadband. DSLReports clocks it at 480, somtimes faster. The webcast stalled for me as well. It froze. I don't think anyone should be charged for this service. We should all get refunds. Maybe if the technology catches up to reality, then charge. Well, it's back to the radio for me. My two cents.

cfm567b27
Dataflix refunded my $8.95 promptly after I sent them an e-mail Sunday evening with regards to the lack of Friday coverage. I was pleased with that aspect obviously but what bothered me was that I had to prompt them and they shouldn't have allowed the charge to my credit in the first place if the game was blocked. What email address did you use? I sent an email Friday night, but didn't get a reply, and checking "MY ACCOUNT" on the Dataflix site does not show a refund of any amount. (I have the season package.). Thanks.

SiouxFanInBoston
Actually, after sending a 2nd email, I did get a prompt response. They're waiting to hear back from UND on what to do for season pass holders. (The UND personnel were at the World Jr.'s). I don't want a refund of the entire season package cost, just something to compensate for the St. Cloud game.
siouxbear1
I too received a refund and email message from them....surprise, surprise!
cfm567b27
SiouxFanInBoston... I just replied to the confirmation e-mail I got when I booked the game on Friday night. I think the e-mail is sent directly from DataFlix sales if I remember correctly. It wasn't much more than :20 minutes after I sent the e-mail request to them that a response was generated that my account would be credited for the single game fee. I was surprised it was that quick. So they regained a little of my confidence and possibly my future business.
CoteauRinkRat
Good to hear they are making some refunds and looking for a way to compensate season package holders.
